Well Im back to work today after 7 days off
I have missed my tips though so will be nice to have a bit more to add to this challenge.
My gousto food delivery came on Thursday and I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of ingredients and recipe cards!
We have had two meals so far out of the four. Last nights was particularly excellent and I would definitely do again. Was an asian dish ......"Turmeric haddock and charred veg noodles" Delish!!

Evening all
I'm still shocked by the awful news from Spain. I've been to Barcelona a few times, even staying at hotel on Las Ramblas, and travelled through Cambrils on the way to Denia to get the ferry to Ibiza.
I do worry that they will attack Ibiza - being full of tourists and so opposite in outlook to these peoples. However, I also remember when the IRA were bombing pubs etc in London and how we all carried on regardless, determined that they weren't going to frighten us into submission.
Well done all those reporting their money-making achievements - it's lovely to see all your efforts being rewarded :j :j :j
Hope you all have a super Saturday
Lx
I agree about Barcelona, what a sad world we live in:(. I've many happy memories of that wonderful city. I worry about other tourist hotspots too, such easy targets:(
OH and I were on holiday in London in the late '70s and remember the IRA threats very well. We were evacuated from a West End theatre once mid-show:eek:. Everyone just took it calmly in their stride. Amazing how 'normal' it gets after a while. There were flashing blue lights and sirens most nights in the streets. It didn't spoil our holiday though:j
I'll never forget visiting the Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace at the height of the bomb threats though and the woman on the desk was supposed to search everyone's bags. It was lunchtime and she had started peeling a juicy orange and her hands were all sticky. She just looked at us and said ''you look honest, go in, it's OK'' without any check on my bag:eek:.0 -

Glad to hear the Gousto meals are so good as you'd hoped. The Asian one sounds wonderful:j0 -
Took a boot full of items to the auctioneer's valuation clinic yesterday. All of them have been accepted (they can be a bit snooty about what they allow in:rotfl:) and a couple appear to be worth quite a bit more than I expected:j. Some of the others have been lumped into a couple of lots but I'm still pleased to see the back of them as they are bulky and heavy. Even after commission I'll make something and it's far less hassle than humping them back and forth to car boot sales where people want to buy them for a pittance.
The catalogues for the next auction have already been finalised so they'll put my stuff in the September sale. Means I won't get paid until October though:(0 -
Just realised I forgot to post the total from my eBay sale the other day, after fees and postage I have £5.49, so my new total for August is £18.90
Also got another £5-odd sitting in Job Spotted so I'll apply for cash out today, and I need to confirm my car insurance purchase with Quidco although I can't see that payment coming through this month.
Good luck with the auction house CBC! Just think of it as giving yourself a head start for October"You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.

Very impressive amounts of money mounting up for you all:T. Well done:beer:
One of the eBay items I listed BIN yesterday last night thanks to Aesop's link about the fees offer sold during the early hours:j. I took FatVonD's advice about incorporating the postage cost into the asking price and offering 'free' postage. Worked a dream, I intend to do it every time now. I'm embarrassed that I never thought of it before:o. I just caught the last mail collection of the weekend so the parcel is already on its way. Will work out profit later, should be around £17.
Also, finally received £3.20 cashback from Quidco and found 20p roadkill.
Probably not car booting tomorrow, might have a good sort out of books etc instead and refresh my Amazon listings if OH keeps his word and goes out for the day. I can't get on with it if he's around as I need to spread stuff all over the floor and he keeps wanting to walk through the room:(.0 -
Finally got round to sorting out a pile of cards that I've accumulated over the years, phoned Costa and Morrisons to see if they could put all the points onto one card and hey presto enough points for a couple of free cakes and coffees and just short of two £5 vouchers. This decluttering is fabMortgage £119,533 going down slowly
