Erm ......Im probably not the best person to ask as I usually combine them with brambles to make wine. Should make more use of them really as they are an excellent antioxidant!!
I have a recipe for blackberry cordial which is good where you could substitute elderberries. Give me a shout if you would like it.
    :D

    Edited to add

    Look what I found ....https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/834764#Comment_834764

Thanks very much:T. We aren't interested in the cordial either so I won't be making that:o but the link to the brilliant elderberry ideas thread is wonderful, as are you, KM for going to the trouble of finding it:A. Thanks so much:T:beer:
  • Lots of lovely money being made over the weekend by so many of you (not me, sadly:o). Well done for the ideas and new money making hints that you all post along the way too:T. This thread is brilliant, there are no more helpful and supportive people on MSE than there are on this thread:A:beer:

MrsCautious, I just wanted to say how much I love your 'warts and all' accounts of your money making activities:T. I'm so pleased for you that some of your eBay sales ended happily and profitably:j

Here's to another good week for everybody:beer:

Thank you I suppose I think well people can see I've topped £700 so I thought it was fair to explain it has also been a pain in the bum. I am very much learning as I go along and want to share in case it's helpful. I had another conversation on eBay late last night that resulted in a stupid offer being made and thanks to Aesop's advice I'm now more confident of avoiding this!

Edited to add - my 2nd amount due for payment before the end of August from mystery shopping is now at £87, I've booked 2 meals for the weekend just now. I am giving up another of the types of assignment as it involves eating a sausage roll and jam doughnut and it's not doing my diet any good -- hahaha!

  • Sorry I know this doesn't fit here but I don't know where else to ask. Someone on Ebay has asked if I will accept and uncrossed postal order as payment. Is this okay? Would you accept it?

you can accept a postal order but why are they leaving it uncrossed ?this means if anyone intercepts it in the post, they can cash it.

I would also state that the item will not be posted until the postal order has cleared into your bank account or you have successfully cashed it.

ok I see why they want to send it uncrossed

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/gds/crossed-Uncrossed-Postal-Orders-Whats-The-Difference-/10000000003919447/g.html

so you can cash it immediately and send their item out faster. But I would ask them to send recorded delivery or get proof of posting.

you must tell them you refuse to send the item out until you have received the cash either by cashing in the postal order or successfully clearing into your bank.

I remember accepting a postal order many years ago. The buyer was happy to wait until it cleared and then I sent the item out.
  • wow how many pages! I have been away visiting our families for the week... I am happy to say I am up to £435.71 now. 46p roadkill, £155 ebay sales on 10 day listings... and £140 from the bank of parents...

my dog has been on a diet and i have managed to get her weight down to 22.2kg... so our monthly vet subscription is now reduced from 15.61 a month to 12.75 a month as she had the smaller sized spot on now. excellent news! Got to weigh my other dog now as she might also be in the better priced size bracket :) I will only add £2.86 for this the once...

We have started getting forms and letters from PPI company...nothing back yet but our fingers are crossed!!

We went to Beamish this week and made the lovely discovery that they do aa armed forces discount of 25% on entry! So we saved a lovely £15.75 on entry fees too...

I'm off to get the loft contents sorted for ebay listings!

Good luck everyone...i will try to catch up on the messages when i get back from lidl and doing masses of holiday laundry!

    xx
