Sorry to hear you’re tired but wow you still got a lot done! Good idea as well of taking the screenshot of the articles you like from the mags at the library! Very MSE and de-cluttery ( if there is such a word!)
And how nice to have a bloke that will sew!:TFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Loved muddy puddle when we had it in our bedroom (just one wall - the room doesn't get a lot of light). I'll look up names of our current LR ones, that are also nice.
OH made choc biscuits from the BeRo book. Crisp outside and soft inside, but not chewy. Let me know if you'd like the recipe.
I agree - love your cat stories. You have a gift describing what they do (DS1 does the same with out dog, giving him a 'voice').
I signed up for 3 months kindle unlimited for 1.99. Couldn't resist. Now I just need time to read.0 -
Thanks MrsC - I think its from reading the Terry P cat book all those years ago, both boys do voices too, having picked it from me. Its really good for their imagination so I encourage it. We do a Joyce Grenfell impression too as my mum is a big fan (Now Charlie we don't scratch doors do we. Lets get you some food instead. Yes I know you don't like fish. George, don't do that.)
Seaside - gadget man has two sewing machines and an overlocker for his hobby stuff and he can sew in a straight line, unlike me. It is useful but he also works long ours and is the prince of procrastination so I need to present that ready to sew stuff at the right time but he has at least offered. The clutter is mostly his, and he is very attached to it.
Checked the bank last night to see if the B of the T refund had gone in, instead they have helped themselves to £83 without notice which is both wrong and annoying. This is the connection charge that they agreed would be waived. Rang (yet again) and of course there is no record of them agreeing to waive it. Really really fed up of all Telecoms companies now. Vodafone of course haven't even bothered to respond to my complaint. And breathe
The lovely binmen took away the cardboard mountain and the green waste bins are empty so I can crack on outside if there is a welcoming window of sunshine over the weekend. First though I think I will trail over to the diy shop, because if I go with OH tomorrow he will want to buy all of the gadgets and i want to get the edging strip before the floor gets any worse..My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

:rotfl::rotfl: We used to do the Joyce Grenfell voice at HRH The Cat when she was still with us too - so glad this isn't just me! :T
Funny to see the mention of FlyLady though - I was thinking earlier I really need to get back to it - oddly enough for the past few months if I've had time to give to cleaning it seems I'd opted for just doing the kitchen (again) because it's so lovely. The other rooms are now feeling neglected clearly. Well the bedroom pears to be feeling a seething great heep of resentment actually...Sigh. If you do, I will too...🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

How absolutely annoying about the telecoms companies! They are useless - they make all these profits so you'd think they'd spend a bit on upgrading the customer service departments.
Loved Joyce Grenfell as well! I remember listening to the "George" school record when I was young as the BBC always seemed to be playing it on "Family Favourites" on Sunday mornings!:rotfl:Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

She was originally called George for different reasons, but her horrid behaviour meant she very quickly got renamed to George, Don't Do That.
I've had a couple of hours working on the Snug. 2 of 20 shelves, emptied, books dusted and sorted. Some classics have gone for charity shop - they are free on kindle so I have convinced myself to let them go, they are ten year reads so they get very dusty. I've only kept Jane Austens and Jane Eyre as they are regular bath reads. I also found a couple of coookbooks I thought I had got rid of by accident. Hairy Bikers Curries, and the Accidental Vegetarian - I was cross about both and would have replaced the vegetarian one at least so v pleased.
The unidentified mouldy thing behind some books turned out to be chocolate Wheetos. And breathe...
Diy place provided with on offer paint, and an edging strip. A few bits in the clearance but nothing that tempted me to fritter. H&B obliged with dusters, micro fibre cloths and generic Polyfiller. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

It's a conspiracy, the dog steals my dusters at every opportunity and now the fluffy ginger is sat on my knee. He never sits on people so house rules are you can't move till he does. purring at great volume, but I want to get on. Impatient jiggling gets you claws in your jeans. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

4 of 20 done, 1 shelf worth in the charity shop collection.
Books never leave this house. I feel slightly ill, but how can I expect others to be ruthless if I am not?
In other news I made my February over payment on the mortgage, and rounded it down to the next 500 now that the monthly payment has gone and the interest has been added. I will wait and see what we have left at the end of the month before I do any more. I am really liking the instant update, much more motivating than an annual statement.
Cat eventually decided to sleep round the back of my ever present dressing gown so I carefully slid out of it once he was snoring. He's still there, but I'm really cold without it. Good job I did though or we still would be waiting for the dinner fairy to arrive. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I have a huge pile of books to read, I take the read ones to the hospital when we go every 6 months then probably buy more from their bookstall than I donated!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I'm on a book diet at the moment as I also have a stack to read. I'm mostly very good these days about letting novels go once read - either to the charity shop or to Mum if it's one she's not read. There's a few authors I'll keep stuff from but not that many. I've committed to not buying any more until the ones I have are read though.
Good work on mortgage OP's and cat evasion - both subjects that feature heavily in my past! :rotfl:🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
