Good to hear from you. I don’t know what to suggest about losing weight. You need to be in the zone and it’s hard right now. Would the spending on new trousers be the incentive you need?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

For me I think it is more the bit where buying bigger trousers is giving myself permission to stay this size. When I lost weight I deliberately rehomed stuff as I went along so I couldn't slide. I need to make myself wear the too tight jeans to sit at my desk For Many Hours. Today Mr Fluffy sat on my laptop (mid Teams meeting) and switched my camera on and mute. Good job he muted me as I cursed and shifted his fat furry butt. Luckily I was dressed. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Mr Fluffy likes to shout 'Hello' a lot in the background, he is not the brightest spark. Absolutely the cutest though. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I wish I had a cat- I would love it to swipe faces on Teams - not sure about turning the camera on though! I'm one of those who never turns it on!🤣
I'm feeling your pain about Covid weight! I'm just glad that retirement is coming up imminently so that I don't have to fit into the work clothes anymore! It's not an ideal answer though!

Think of the weight as your winter insulation - March is a good time to start losing. Obviously it would help if you liked vegetables... but I’ve had some nice salads recently. Which reminds me - can you share the recipe fir your radish and cucumber one?And hopefully having your office done will help keep snack-providers (and Mr Fluffy) out.I think work being so manic is helping me focus, that and having to log weight for the clinic every three days 😣 although I have had to block time, otherwise I end up starving at 8 or 9 and all bets are off.4

Radish & Cucumber salad started as a Good Food recipe but got adapted to what I actually have in my cupboards.
3 tablespoons white vinegar (cider/white wine vinegar), 1 tablespoon olive oil, tea spoon of sugar mixed together with a couple of sliced spring onions. Thin slice radishes, and half moon cucumber (scraping out the seeds is optional but they add a lot of wet if it is going to stand for any time). Mix it all together just before you want to eat it. Fresh, light, tasty.

Last night we had crispy coated chicken. I have this down to a lazy easy fine art, despite the gluten free thing.
Chicken strips into plain yoghurt, give them an hour or so. It helps tenderise the chicken - a trick I learned from the hairy dieter books. It also makes the crumbs stick without faffing about with beaten egg.
The crispy coating is shaking some M0rris0ns free from sage & onion stuffing mix onto a plate and dipping the strips in. Onto a baking paper lined try, spray them with oil. 15 minutes at 180, turn them over, light spray again and give them another 15 minutes.
Nice with salad and dips.
The GF stuffing mix is excellent value at 65p. Their GF breadcrumbs are great too.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I find Mr M free from is quite good. Not too many nasties added. I used their breadcrumbs and liked them. Your recipe for chicken strips is a great idea and one I will try.
