Oh no redo, you made me opt in to that am@zon offer and now I'm buying kindle books left, right & centre! 😂 The most annoying part though is that I'd already spent £5 on books before I saw your post. 👀 Oh what a shame, I need to buy more now. 🤷♀️ I have never read any Georgette Heyer so may well give one a go.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. @sashybo, it says as long as you opt in during the dates then any books you buy during that period count. I assume that includes already bought from the wording. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Great news on the study redo! Have to agree with @greenbee that a lock on the door will be the way to go or you will find the house clutter fairies (I.e the family) will start to take over.......!😁

Three weeks since I last posted! It is fair to say that work has been very busy .
Lots of spending but practical investments in much needed storage space rather than frittering on general stuff.
Couple of commitments coming up for renewal. Broadband deal ended yesterday, pure luck I noticed. Renewed, never ever risking moving it again. Too important for our jobs and DSs colleges.
The mortgage rate comes to an end next month. Not sure about fixing again as it restricts over payments and we may want to move. What is irritating is that they recalc based on the outstanding balance, so although the interest rate is going up, the minimum monthly payment has gone down quite a bit.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Other spends:
I managed to pick up two months of kindle unlimited for free a couple of weeks ago so I am busy reading my way through free junk. I still have a few pounds of kindle credit to use but hopefully there will be something I want in the new 1st month deals.
Jumpers. All of the jumpers. Don't even mention the jumpers. I went to the merino mill outlet shop. I did my bit to support local manufacturing.
Food spend remains high, but worth it to keep out of shops I think. The key thing is making use of what I bought, it hurts even more when you are composting expensive veg box stuff.

Good to hear from you Redo . You do love your jumpers 🤣. Did you buy any wrist warmers while you were there? 🤣. I like wool but it's more challenging to wash safely.
Good quality storage is an excellent investment. No house will ever look uncluttered without plenty of storage (that's my excuse for my messy home anyway, not enough storage 😂).Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I totally get where you're coming from redo about renewing with your current broadband supplier rather than moving away to a better deal. An in-law of DSis's who has been WFH from home since March was offline two working days over a hoo ha and mix up when she changed suppliers. She ended up going into the office with a long commute on the train which she wasn't pleased about as she has asthma problems and has been trying to be careful re. Covid. I feel the same and am sticking with my current provider whilst I'm WFH.Enjoy your jumpers and your new storage! Did the storage consist of new book cabinets!😀Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I agree about the broadband. We are with V1rg1n and have their super fast broadband as DH works from home. It's not the cheapest but we must have a reliable connection. We were with Beetee before and while that was reliable they started charging us silly money so we voted with our feet and left. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
