    Food, glorious food.
Like many diarists at the moment I have gained weight in recent months.  I have to lose some or buy clothes.  I hate clothes shopping.
    Current favourite food things:
    1. Tomatoes, basil and mozzarella - pennies and glorious with good tomatoes. I finally read up on keeping basil alive, and you need to water it from the bottom in a saucer.  Sliced and room temperature, perfect for not many calories
    2. https://thefast800.com/turmeric-roasted-cauliflower-with-dahl/ was lovely.  OH cant digest roasted cauliflower though!
    3. https://thefast800.com/portobello-pizzas/ frugalised a little by using flat mushrooms, or even big ones from the wonky boxes
    4. Using prosciutto or parma ham, crisped in the pan or cooked till crumbled in the oven in place of bacon.  Great with scrambled egg.
  • Clothes
I had to buy some bigger trousers for work which has annoyed me, and I cant wear most of my nice tops due to the fat man fold over.  I haven't got a suit jacket that fits which is a problem.
I ordered two coats yesterday, one had already gone back as it was too short.  The second is a Harris Tweed fit and flare long coat that is an impulse buy as a consequence of a post on the style group I am part of on Facebook, but if it fits and suits then I will hopefully be wearing it for ever.  I am not settling for 'it'll do' though.
I have worn out some of my wrist warmers.  Its tempting to just buy more but instead I have cut the sleeves off a moth eaten merino jumper, and got OH to sew a little triangle for me to simply convert them into new wrist warmers.  He was sewing under blankets for one of his tents or something, so it took the best part of a minute to do.  Really pleased with them.

I have also had to buy clothes for DS2 for college, he has had a huge grow though and already his new jeans are nearly too short.  They may fit me though as the leg length is right!
  • Just a quick post to say that the Fast 800 book is a 99p kindle deal of the day until midnight today (Thursday).

Azn have £5 kindle credit if you have Prime, opt in and spend £15 on kindle.  Devious swines.  I got 5 x £2 Miss Silvers, and will probably get a few Georgette Heyer murders.  It 'ruins' the 1st of month when there is nothing I want reduced though.  Fridays Child is 99p if anyone wants a great introduction to the gentle happiness that is Georgette Heyer.

Pay day came and went, another % off the mortgage.  So lucky and grateful that we can do this after the famine years.  Trying to decide if we should remortgage in December when the current deal ends, as yet unsure.  Officially 12 to go, 5 more accurate but that may change.  Tie in and no more than 10% overpayment.  We may want to move in 1-3 years.  May need to remortgage to buy at auction.  An accurate crystal ball would be good.

Exciting plans afoot to finally build my study as both working from home for forseeable.  Shed bought to store stuff, and a summerhouse.  Whoops.  Its not lack of space, its excess of stuff.

24p that you are not paying interest on for X years. it can only be a good thing.

I have a fantasy of an empty, bare walled study.  Like normal people have.

I’m also WFH for at least the next 6 months. My grandma was a big Georgette Heyer fan, funny how I remember that as she sadly passed away when I was 12, which was a VERY long time ago.
