Thanks everyone, its been a nasty cold. The tedious bit is that the boys are a few days in front and are still rough, and poor OH has only just started with it so he can see a horrid fortnight ahead. Hes lucky though, as I finally bought some cold tablets and decent tissues
My chest hurts and I have eaten evil wheat biscuits and made myself fat and sore
Moneywise, I haven't missed work so the business income hasn't been impacted but the client hasn't paid the last two invoices yet which is annoying. I have given up on SBs and surveys till I feel better, but did have a whole £3.60 of cashback pay out yesterday from one of those bonus offers. Payday shuffle done, a little into savings and a rounding down over-payment on the mortgage. Nearly missed it, I do it after the interest has gone out on the 1st and I hadn't logged onto that bank account since with being so busy.
Unexpected expenses would be my fluffy friend being rubbish at fighting again, another abscess and another £120 in the vets. He's moping again tonight, hope he hasn't got another one hidden under all that fur.
Food spends are hideous, I've just given up even pretending that I am trying to control it. Time is taking priority over cost which isn't ideal. Beef stew with dumplings tonight, using expensive c0-op cubed beef.
I did finally have a fritter to celebrate all these lovely earnings, scottish cashmere wrist warmers. they are just lush, and warm and generally lovely. So much so that I now have three pairsMy mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

to grotty colds! Hope your OH doesn't succumb to the lurgy too much. Colds seem to last so long these days.
Poor old fluffy! I was wondering how he was doing as you haven't mentioned him lately so I thought he'd managed to avoid evil bad-!!! cat. Painful for him as well with the abscess.
I'm sure you'll get back to your economical food ways once you feel better. And the wrist warmers sound just the ticket to cheer you up!Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Oooh cashmere wristwarmers - I've got some cashmere wool and some knitting machines.... now if only I can be bothered to put the two together. Think I might have to make myself, cos they sound lush!I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy0 -
Wrist warmers are a lovely treat that you have earned. Enjoy
I do that with biscuits sometimes. It hurts your joints too and isn't worth it but I still do it sometimesIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I've got some cashmere fingerless gloves that my mum gave me and they are lovely, really soft and really warm.
Cooking is hard to do cheaply and well when you're busy. I cook cheap,y but I don't cook well. I hope your cold disappears soon. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
