I'm sick of the rain - two solid days here, squelch, squelch :( I get where your OH is coming from - I don't eat meat and hate fake meat as I don't like the taste and texture of meat. I've spent years cooking different meals for everyone in our house, so can sympathise.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Greenbee, I usually take Quidco as paypal, but have done the M&S vouchers as they have a good uplift.

SA Its not currently actively raining, hope you get your lunch out.

Waiting for 9am and all the electrical thingymajigs going on.

    Jobs for today:
    Washing x lots
    Ironing
Put it all away before the cats sleep in it
Make Quiche - with DS1, and then Chorley Cakes with the leftover pastry or jam tarts
Pot roast the last of the chewy beef
Prep dry bits of packed lunches for the week

Love 'washing x lots' Me too. It is at least dry here.
Your quiche sounds good. I made a red Thai veggie curry :)

  • Your Saturday night curry sounds nice. I cook differnt meals too because I'm the only vegetarian and DS3 doesn't like Quorn or soya mince, and DS1 doesn't like red meat, sigh. It can be a bit of a faff at times but I'm used to it.

Think I might do quidco as amazon, as it saves me giving them my credit card details and has a small uplift. I do have an M&S voucher that I need to remember to use...

Laundry day here. Some stuff put away, some on airers, some in machine, some in queue. I miss having stuff on the line, particularly having had a few days where it has been possible!

I'm defrosting a turkey crown and debating making a curry... I really do need to get the kitchen done :(

Watching the rain, complete with hot water bottle. Its rather cold and I am glad I haven't planted anything vulnerable. Even the wisteria hasn't started flowering, its usually glorious by now.

End of April payments made, a small mortgage over payment to round it down and then the rest went to the direst of dire emergencies fund.

Had to buy a couple of new school shirts for the boy in the end, even soaking in soda crystals didn't take the black stuff off. I used the gift voucher balance so at least it wasn't cash. I sneakily bought myself two more of the snoods while I was out so another £4 gone, but at £2 each I think they are worth it. It was the last one too so glad I did.

The style course started Monday and is interesting. Making me think about the whats and whys of my 'wardrobe' and choices.

    Style course sounds interesting.

I was also cold and made a hotter bottle to hug throughout the day :)

The style course sounds really interesting, I could do with a makeover !

The weather is playing havoc with gardeners , but the forecast for the weekend looks good.

As a side note Redo , my HR have never done anything about my sickness over Dec, Jan and Feb so as you said they aren't that bad sometimes !

    Enjoy the bank holiday .
