I'm surprised you removed your thermals before August
I think you might actually be like my mum - my dad always reckoned that if she removed a few layers the heat might be able to reach her!
Course sounds good - I must get someone to come over and go through my wardrobe. Mind you, must actually sort out the furniture so I can put it all away properly.
Am in Stockholm. It's raining. Weather forecast didn't mention rain... Travel is doing it's usual wonders for my diet (ate random stuff in the lounge, smuggled a scone with jam & cream on to the plane, although now I know I can pay for M&S food on BA with Avios I might eat the stuff... I've got enough Avios to feed myself for the next 100 years). Hotel only does breakfast - and cake... avoided the cake, had hot choc and now need to go to bed so I get up in time to run tomorrow.0 -
Rain, sun, hailstones. A day for thermals yet again.
The rye bread was awful, a lump of leadI'd throw it out for the birds but I suspect they would throw it back and break a window. I think I will try again tomorrow but with a 50/50 mix.
Cadburys sent me a very nominal voucher as compensation for mouldy in-date Green & Blacks tasting boxes ('not our fault', 'supply chain issue with storage', hadn't kept receipt, less than the cost of one replacement box, never mind the two that are mouldy - imagine if I had given them as gifts as intended?) so I've frittered it on multi-packs of diary milk for the boys treat boxes.
The e-reward survey thing paid out really quickly onto nectar, and I now have £5 to use in MrS. Worth knowing, and full credit to joeyjimbles who said elsewhere about going back to the original invite email and retrying till it finds you a survey that you do qualify for.

Now up to 8 tomatoes (hurrah), 5 courgettes (hmm), 1 cucumber (hurrah) and 2 peppers in the house. Its too wet to go up to the tunnel, but I had broad beans starting to germinate and the plug plants are thriving. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Your weather sounds similar to ours apart from the hail.
Glad you some kind ofcompensation from Cadbury, even if only nominal.

Its a 'Suss Your Style' so colours, body shape etc. myrubyslippers.co.uk is the website, rosa recommended on DIAs thread
HHOD it is better than nothing but I am still cross that in date chocolate can be mouldy (proper white furry growing mould, not blooming) and you don't get a full refund because the manufacturers say it isn't up to them! CBA to argue but will not buy G&B again. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Yay, I think you'll like the style course. Triggers lots of thinking so a long term investment. And a lovely supportive environment, just like the bigger fb group.
 to mouldy chocolate - it's not as if the stuff is refrigerated, what on earth were people doing with it to cause that?! I no longer buy them anyway as they went from gluten free to non gluten free when they went FairTrade but didn't bother to mention it on the pack  most unhelpful.
Greenbee, M&S can be quite good depending what you pick - I often buy their Balanced For You meals as they do 3 for £10 and so it generally works out cheaper and with broader gluten free options to do that than sandwiches at work. I was astonished to find that today's only had 233 calories in, would never have guessed as it actually tasted decent :rotfl:

I have millions of avios (Ok, so not quite true, but tens of thousands) so I'm thinking I can do my food shopping for the week on the flights home
)
Not impressed by cadburys, but I have to admit I don't buy G&B since they were bought by them anyway. I've switched to Montezumas. Or whatever chocolate the airline/hotel decides to feed me0 -
Payday for OH and the money shuffle is done. Please to report there was a little money left at the end of the pay month, even after paying the credit card, dentists, etc. Once the mortgage payment goes out I'll be able to do a rounding down payment but otherwise focus remains on emergency savings.
The increased pension contribution was offset by his cost of living rise, by far the best long term savings rate for us. Thanks again to seasidegal who made me realise this!
Cost cutting went too far yesterday as I reduced both the time and temperature on the boiler and had a lukewarm bath as result.
1. Sort the boiler timings
2. Run the business payroll and pay myself
3. Companies House stuff by Monday
4. Check the plants in the tunnel
5. Sausages out of the freezer - sausages and mash for dinner
Managed to get some soda crystals this morning, so need to try and remove the oil? stains from DSs school shirt. Why schools insist on white shirts is beyond me.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
