I wonder where the guy doing it on the cheap for £180 will dump it?

That was the first thought that crossed my mind.

Have you asked him where he will dump it? He should be telling you.

I see now why it was dumped - 87 possible suspects then. At a guess one of those 87 might have something else up their sleeve then.

If there's that many people opposed to your proposal - then it sounds like you are proposing to do something pretty "drastic". Had you thought of changing your mind about doing it - as it's obviously going to have quite a detrimental effect on the neighbourhood (considering how much opposition there is to it)?

I would call or email the police (non-emergency no.) and report that someone has fly-tipped in your garden. You will get a crime reference number.
    e.
No they won't, no recordable crime has been committed.
    HKP, you're wrong.

Fly tipping and illegal waste disposal is a criminal act and people are regularly prosecuted. The police can build up a picture from reports and certainly do issue crime numbers for this kind of offence. I had one when I reported a similar offence of smaller magnitude than this.

The bags would have to be offloaded from a vehicle with a hi-ab crane. No number of strong individuals could lift them into position like that; there are only 4 lifting points.

Be careful about people on Gumtree offering to dispose of stuff. Ask to see their Waste Carrier's Licence. If they prove to be fly tippers and are caught, you will be liable too and also prosecuted. The plea, "I didn't know" won't wash.
