  • Neil Jones, thank you for that.
That is definitely something I shall let him know about with going to the production company, great idea!!
I'm really really not sure now if it's even How it's made. I have just Googled it. It's with Robert Llewelyn and it's called 'how do they do it' I knew it was something like that.
I'll do some digging around I think (it's probably best I do it otherwise it'll never be done) no disrespect intended.

Robert Llwewlyn voiced the Channel 5 "version" of that show, which again is a Disovery show, made by WAG TV (http://www.wagtv.com/) and a portion of it was released on DVD, though Sod's Law dictates it won't have the episodes you want:

  • You are an absolute superstar!!!! Thank you very much! Yes that sounds about right!

    Thanks given!!!
  • Neil, I have just emailed WAGtv so hopefully 'fingers crossed' I'll get there. I certainly wouldn't have got this far without your help!! Michelle

Let us know how you get on.
  • Thanks DCFC79, I definitely will do.
I would just love to be able to do this for my dad. He's planning on retiring soon and he's absolutely passionate about his job!
The particular episode is of his workshop and his machines etc so to have that hope that WAGTV might be able to is promising :-)

Is it possible to keep the old Sky+ box connected on a different HDMI or SCART feed for playback when required? A viewing card wouldn't be needed for this?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Thanks macman, sorry for being really thick here but wouldn't he need the black sky cable behind the box to be able to do this? You know the one they add when they install it?
If that works that's another really great idea I shall pass onto him.

    Thanks all!

It would have to have an active Sky viewing card inserted and would need at least the Sky+ service active (around £10 a month) in order to access the recorded programmes.

Whether Sky would do that on top of the Sky HD sub I'm not sure. In fact you could ask about multiroom and keep both boxes connected, not a cheap option either way.
