Thank you :) How are you getting on? (I hope I'm right that you were losing a few pounds too!). Are you following a plan, or just cutting back?

I've lost a few pounds but need to try harder! I'm just trying to cut back on my calorie intake.

It is so easy to let things slip. My downfall is after the boys are in bed. I can snack for Wales then :rotfl: Add a glass of wine to the snacking and I've then over eaten!!

Food shopping done today. Between Aldi and Tesco I spent £51.85. I'm not sure if I'll need a top up shop this week as I'm away for work Friday and Saturday. I will need to take lunch on the train, and buy something for the journey back (it's over 5 hours each way - boring!!).

I spent all afternoon in the garden with the boys. It has been such a lovely day, and they really enjoyed having the opportunity to play outside for hours! I then made our own chicken nuggets with ds1 for dinner and served them with homemade wedges and veg. Pretty simple, relatively healthy but the boys really enjoyed them.

I didn't write my cleaning list. But, I have swept the kitchen floor, and then hoovered the whole of downstairs (I need to invest in a door mat to put outside the patio door!!!). We're visiting family tomorrow for the day. It's a good hour and a half away, but I think my mum has decided to drive which will save on petrol!! It should mean that tomorrow will be a nsd!

Visiting family didn't work out - the other household woke up to chicken pox! My eldest has had it, but ds2 hasn't. I know it's better for them to have it young, but not now!!!!! We ended up out for the day instead. My mum paid. She's very giving in that sense. Pays for things the majority of the time. She says she enjoys doing it now she can, as she remembers how tight things were when she was my age raising children. I am so grateful, it's such a massive help and means we can do more than I'd be able to afford otherwise.

Today and yesterday have both been a nsd (other than bills, but I can't do much about them so I don't count them!). Tomorrow will be different, though. I need to pay for another set of slimming classes (I pay for 6 at a time) and I also need to pick up some food for Friday's train journey.

I still haven't managed my cleaning list, but I have made a massive dent in the ironing basket tonight. It was overflowing, and I managed over half!!! I also had a load of clothes to put away, and I've given the kitchen a good clean. Ds1 is back in school next week (and I've got the week off work :j ) so I'm hoping I'll be slightly more organised.

I came up to bed early tonight to write next week's meal plan. I've ended up spending most of the last hour browsing the web! Meal plan still to do!!!

Well done on the weight loss, I'm struggling since breaking up for Easter back on it Monday.

Washing is the bane of my life, especially with this rain my basket is never empty for longer than a minute.

    I can't believe it's been almost a month :o

Food shop update - I've totted up April and it comes to £319.46, which works out at £63.89 a week (5 week month). Over the £60 a week budget but my biggest problem is the top up shops. I pick up more fruit mid week and usually end up with a few unnecessary bits as well. My May target is £200 (I'm away for a week so won't need a shop). I usually shop at Aldi mainly now and do the top up at Tesco, but I've booked a click and collect at a Tesco tomorrow morning because it's the bank holiday weekend and basically I can't be bothered :rotfl:

Money otherwise............life's flipping expensive. I've lost 13.5lbs (so frustrating not to have reached the stone yet!! I have lost 6 inches from my waist though and have dropped a dress size. This means I've been buying some new clothes. I have a pile of old clothes to put on eBay, I just need to get around to doing it now!! I figured that whatever I make will go towards new clothes.

I've got 2 wedding to go to, one next weekend and one next month. I have a dress here that fits for the one next weekend, but not sure about next month's one yet. At least it means I don't need to fork out on a new dress!! Need to think about gifts though

The boys have seemed to be expensive the last few weeks as well. They've needed a few new Summer bits, as well as new swimming things each, wellies for ds1, hats, etc. It's amazing how fast it all adds up.

Mr S and I..........that's still up and down, but the ups seem to happen more frequently and the downs are fewer and further in between. We've decided to give counselling a go (£45 a session  ). We're starting next week. We have so many issues to work through, from the issues that we had initially to the ones that have been created by his oh so lovely family. We did go out last night though, just the 2 of us, for a meal. It was lovely. We talked and we laughed. We never did that when we were together so I think it's one thing we're going to try and work on. I think the aim is to go out once a month for food or something together. We'll see how things go but at the moment we're both trying.

Right, I'm going to have a catch up of some diaries here!
