Last but one day of the month. I've checked my pending transactions and my wages are in tomorrow :j I've also (one day early!) transferred half the monthly leftover pot to savings. That meant £15 has gone into savings. Not loads, but it all helps. Ds2 hasn't had a great night, so we won't be moving far at all today. I think I'll do some Halloween baking with ds1 and let him play out the back. Other than that it will be tv, cuddles, blocks, teddies and sleep (for ds2!!).

There are free local Halloween activities tomorrow, but it will depend how ds2 is.

Dh is saying that he'll be off tomorrow, so even if ds2 isn't well one of us can take ds1 out for a bit. We've done some baking this morning, just need to ice them now. I think we may walk over to the local shop later to pick up some jelly to make. I thought we had some in the cupboard, but none there. I've got sweet/jelly worms so we'll decorate the jelly with them to make it a little more spooky!! I'll see what colour jelly they have, we may buy 2 different ones to make a massive Halloween jelly. That should be our only spend today.

I've been looking at how many tesco vouchers we have. Not far off £70 so we need to have a think about what we can do with them.

Ds2 isn't eating again. He's drinking his milk so that's positive, but he didn't touch his breakfast. I'll try him with something when he wakes from his nap.

We bought 2 different colour jellies and have made them both. We've also done quite a bit of baking, and will do a little more tomorrow. We had a 'cafe' style lunch of toastie and chips! A little different to our usual sarnie. Ds2 has eaten a little more this afternoon, but is still not right.

I spent just under £4 in the shop, but I used cash, so that was accounted for last time I took money out of the machine. It means our weekly amount left hasn't changed.

Surveys are slow at the moment. I have 24 hours left to make another 6p on prolific to reach my personal target :rotfl: I doubt it will happen as it seems very slow. I haven't really looked at any other survey sites for a while, but may give opinion outpost another go as although small, there are often surveys available.

Happy Halloween!! I've got one super excited boy here, and another wondering what on earth's happening!! :rotfl:

I've been awake over an hour already. I go through stages where I wake really early, but by 9pm I'm shattered. Today is my pay day, and budget for November day. It's all done!! I've sorted it on ynab and in my accounts.

I've managed to increase savings by almost £100 which is great. I've currently got money to one side for the boiler, and am now working on my next goal, which is a £500 (the washing machine/car/oven has broken down) small emergency fund type goal. I'm 54% done according to my ynab target! Once that's done, if we ever need it, our next target will be to build it back up again. As soon as that target's at goal, I'll be moving on to our next target, which is a much needed new shed. For a nice sized one with a base, it'll be around £800.

We've got £11.16 left for the week (plus a bit of spare change). After today I'll be in work for the rest of the week so we should manage ok. There's some free Halloween activities in town today so ds1 will be going there. We do need more calpol but I have checked and have enough Boots points to cover it so will use them.

I'm going to change some Tesco vouchers later as Dh and I am going Christmas shopping next week so we can eat out using them. I'm not sure how much to change!!

I end to request a pin reminder today. I got a Debenhams card recently for the discount. The card has been cleared, but I have £7 worth of vouchers. I must pay on the card, though, if I'm using the vouchers and have no idea what the PIN number is!! I also overpaid another card (got for an offer) a few months ago, and can't remember the pin so have already sent for the reminder. Though, saying that, I could use that online and not need the pin!

Took ds1 out for the morning, and we spent £6. £3 was for parking and the other £3 for random bits in Wilko! I also picked up own brand calpol from boots but paid using points. I took £10 out of the cash point for the Christmas tin. I'm not sure if I mentioned before but as well as the 20ps I'm going to be taking £10 out every month which will go towards our Christmas food shop.

He's much better thank you, but still not 100%. I hate seeing the children poorly :(

2 prolific surveys I managed to miss by seconds today. They were both there, each with 1 place left. By the time I clicked to take them, it was too late. Typical!!

There was an end of the day 69p spend earlier. We ran out of apples! Apples are one of things that never run out in this house, I usually over order and have loads sitting in the fridge, but we actually ran out. I used all the 5ps in my purse to buy them, so nothing to enter on ynab.

I'm back at work tomorrow for the rest of the week. It means that my half term with the boys has finished. Roll on Christmas holidays as I've taken the whole fortnight off that ds1 is off school :j

    :hello:

Thank you :) we're in a far more stable place now than we've been for many years (despite still having one credit card left to pay). We're really able to look ahead for the first time in many years which is amazing. I decided to start the Christmas food shop now.......I know there's only 2 months left, but that £20 will really help.
