Well. I had a few drinks on Friday night. It was a family birthday and I just knew I would. So I'll be a day short on my target but I will not be down. Just getting through a few days is fab. I don't intend to drink again to the end of the week and really want to stick to my Nov target. Given that I don't have a new job yet I really need to be saving money too. So not drinking so much is a great idea.

    So 5/8 please Shaggy.

Keep up the good work everyone. :)
  • Hello, I would like to join again. Was on here donkeys years ago under this user name and then lost the password/changes in life etc etc. So long that the user name has become re-usable, lol.

Forum has changed so much since I was on here last so I am really struggling at the mo, will spend some time tomorrow trying to get things back to original settings.

So about me - I am edging closer towards 50, look after teenagers and like the rest of us realise that I need to cut back on the booze. My life has changed completely since I was last here, but still the same old cr&p. Life became so hard that everything ran wild and now I feel confident enough to pull things back in again and get back on track. I recognise some of the old names, feels nice to 'see' you all again. Hope I can squeeze in.

Would like to try 20 days November to start with. Hope everyone else is ok and enjoying the first Sunday of the winter hours xxxx

Morning all, 25/21 for me please. Hey I've reached my annual target! Unless my sums are way off :rotfl:I am completely over the moon about that as I was unsure when I set it but just taking it day by day has seemed to work. Thanks to everyone on this thread and especially hardworking Shaggydoo for helping me stay on the straight and narrow.:j

It was a bit tricky this month but I do feel like I am on the way to a balanced point. Not there yet. But will keep going.

    Thank you to all. Xxx

thanks maman - if someone had asked me even a year ago whether I could stop drinking to this degree I would have said it was impossible. It was a real turning point for me in March when I stopped drinking wine at home. It has taken me years and years and years to get to this point. I'm just really happy about it.
