On to 11/14 for Tuesday night, but had a couple last night, which was a bit silly really as no real reason to. Can still make target if I am AF tonight, Mon and Tue, but was really hoping to exceed my target this month. Will see how the weekend goes, Saturda will definitely not be AF as I am lunchting with a lovely friend and it always involves pink bubbles or cocktailsWhat goes around comes around.....I hope!0

 hi Paspatur
I'm quite new here too. I'm only on day 3 but I'm pleased with that.
It's nice to watch TV without falling asleep!
I was going to try for four AF weeks but I already realise that it's going to be a big ask. I shall probably have a drink tomorrow as its my brother in law's birthday tomorrow. But I'm really going to try and keep it under control and then be AF for a good few days after that.
So I'm on 3/8 please.

Thank you for the welcome - Nicnak, Sukeyboo and Slowdown - I have no idea how to do the multi quote thing or even a single quote for that matter
Good luck Slowdown, I have tried many times to keep it under control but seem to have no power to do that. Instead most of the time if I start I don't stop until I have had too many.
Struggled tonight between 5pm and 6pm but know by now that if I can get past 7pm I won't bother.
I love to do my Keith Floyd impersonation while cooking dinner but with beer instead of wine.
Avoiding the trigger by using the slow cooker earlier in the day so dinner is ready, I have never had the urge to chop veg with a glass of beer in the morning.
17/20 please0 -

It's good that you know your triggers and are avoiding them in the short term to help. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

I am female, aged 57 and quite small so my body really cannot cope with the amount I have been drinking and it is making itself heard!
Really going to do something about it now as it also affects my mood and energy levels.
I am currently at 16 days AF for October
Welcome Paspatur! Thank you so much for the first laugh of the day about not wanting to drink beer chopping veg inthe morning! It's lovely to know you've been reading and keeping up with us while racking up your 16 days for October - I couldn't have done that when I first realised I had a bit of a problem with booze. I was also about your age when I decided to do something about it too, and I'm not big either, although about a stone overweight at the moment. Well done for changing your behaviour so that you're dealing with one of the many triggers we all have that make dealing with the issue so tough to begin with. I bet you were chuffed when you didn't have to start cooking in the evening, too! I'm so glad you've decided to join us and post.Wow, you have done really well in the last few months. I seem to have gone the other way and been steadily increasing. Desperately trying to get it down again now.
Every single drink you don't take, even if it's only one less one evening, is a huge victory, Nicnak. You're with us, you're posting and although you may not have achieved everything you wanted to yet, you're aware of the issue and you're doing something to deal with it. That counts as a huge step forward.
27/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -
