Oh dear - it hasn't been a very good second part of the month for me and I definitely haven't managed 26 AF days. Not helped by a last minute opportunity to go to an extended family get-together for the bank holiday weekend.
And today is the last day of my 6 weeks off so felt the need to celebrate / drink alcohol. I really need to get reading my book again.
So August is 14 / 26
And for September I'm aiming for 15 AF free days0 -
Morning all, another lovely morning - 2/21 for me please.0

It sounds as though a lot of people struggled with their targets in August, which is interesting. Still, it's over, so everyone can draw a line under it and move on in September. Good luck with it everyone.
I was going through the drinks cupboard the other day looking for some sherry to cook with and came across a quarter bottle of sweet white wine we were given in 2011 by a couple at their wedding. It's an incredibly special wine, made on a tiny island in the Mediterranean called Pantelleria, which is half way between Scicily and Libya, and that was where the wedding was. I found myself musing about whether it would be okay to drink it over Christmas, and whether it was worth the risk. I'd almost decided it was when I redecided because of course it's not. Still, intersting, over three years on and I'm still finding reasons it would be okay to drink even if I'm not that tempted by the idea of alcohol and don't get cravings or anything like that.
2/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -

Thanks CathyBird.
Anything that helps, StitchyWitchy. I found reading blogs by other women who stopped drinking incredibly helpful. In fact, along with several other online resources such as this thread, I wouldn't have made it, and I absolutely know that. I borrowed absolutely every book the local library had about it, too, but I noticed there were a lot more about drinking (wine, particularly) than there were about not drinking.
3/30 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0
