Does it have to be by email? or could I just write another letter?
Do it by whatever method they are using to communicate with you (your Dad). If by snail mail get a free certificate of posting from the post office counter clerk (not Signed For/Recorded).

To be absolutely safe, do both. It's not detrimental to your case. No big deal, provided it is done before court papers are issued via Northampton CCBC. After that, it's too late to take your Dad out of the loop.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I suggested email because time is of the essence, and you can get a read receipt and will have proof that your DAD emailed, giving your name and address, before court proceedings.

Slowly posting a letter on a Thursday, just means I would not be surprised if it's too late, and Dad will have a claim issued by Monday! That's why I said to email.
My dads not well enough to do it now. I am more than happy to do it on my own. GS have asked for a driver to be named in a previous letter before claim, but I haven't done that yet.
Exactly why this needed to be done ages ago in Dad's name, naming you and giving you full postal address and saying that you were the driver, and proof kept (NOT a letter).
