    Evening everyone,

Lunch taken to work on Mon (rice), Tue (pasta) and Wed (crackers and cheese) so that's me achieved 8 out of 13 days. Realised I'm not going to make my target as I'm meeting a former colleague for lunch on Wed and also lunching with a current colleague the following week.

    Well done everyone!

Yesterdays lunch. Sardines on toast (I am going to turn into a sardine), banana, apple bar thing - total cost is approx. £1 Saving £2

Maggie Bob So impressed that you have lived on leftovers!

So far I can see that every lunch I make I am saving approx. £2 which with the morning coffee I no longer buy is a daily saving of at least £4. So 48 weeks, 5 days, £4 is £960 per year. Wow.:T

It's never too late, fruit loop, welcome aboard!

I'm all set for tomorrow, I managed to get a YS pot of mozzarella pearls which I will have with some of my glut of home grown tomatoes and a bit of basil from the garden. I'm not sure if I have balsamic vinegar, I will have a root around but do without if not!

    :TI adore pesto!

So, according to plan I had my YS mozzarella (which turned out to be a big one and not pearls, it was all in Italian!) which cost me 44p with free home grown tomatoes and basil with the dregs of a bottle of balsamic vinegar and a packet of crisps from a multipack on the side 16p

So lunch cost me 60p saving me 2.40

@Florence J do you need to add the stock gradually for the Barlotto or can it all go in at once?

Hello lovely, please don't think I was ignoring your question, I have had no internet for nearly 2 weeks. I add the stock all at once, I think it would work better that way. I would certainly add most of it in the beginning.

Have batch cooked vegetable muffins for my breakfasts this week, as well as a vat of couscous again. Last week was Yellow Split Pea soup x 3, Tuna Sandwich and leftover macaroni cheese.
