Please can you tell me what YS stands for, I am probably being dumb. Also, how can you get a sandwich for 36p?

Oh I get it :T
Working from home today.
Todays lunch : Pitta bread, Goat's cheese, tomato and an apple. Cost £1 so saving of £2.
Did some baking to use up some fruit reaching the end of its life today and made a banana cake and an upside down pear cake so should help for the week's lunches also.Aiming to early retire December 31st 2026.0 -
Yep, YS = yellow sticker. I live about 50 metres from a small Mr T and pop down most nights at final reductions time to nab a sandwich for the next day. They used to reduce by 90% but just lately it's only been by 80% but still bargainous and it means I get a good variety of fillings. They're always still fine the next day, I've only ever once had one that smelt a bit iffy :eek:Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

I'm (recently) veggie, have access to a microwave and boiling water at work, and there's a Tesco down the road I need to avoid visiting every lunch time!
Yesterday: Rice and bean salad, heated up with olive oil drizzled through it. Did visit Mr T but only bought my fruit for the week (bunch of bananas, pack of flat peaches)
Today: quiche and salad, yoghurt and fruit.
Good luck and good lunch every one!
Need to catch-up! Listing what I brought in (or if I was naughty, bought) for lunch, usually have a supply of fruit etc to snack on
3rd: Rest of the quiche and salad
4th: Charity bake sale at work so I bought Spanish Omelette and scone for my lunch (£3)
7th: Rice & bean salad
8th: Rice & bean salad

10th: Tesco meal deal (£3)

Didn't have the Butternut squash curry on Wednesday as migraine struck and I didn't feel like eating anything much (I lasted the day on a couple of bananas and one of those Nakd bars).
Sooooo, I had the curry on Thursday and I've got the remaining portion today (thankfully it's been in the fridge and I trust my rice cooking not to poison me!). That means this week's lunches have been entirely 'free' as they've been made with leftovers - hurrah! In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!0
