Looks like I will be switching here, overall comments seem positive. On the website they push the smart meter but from comments it is not compulsory.

edit : switch in progress, will be supplied by them from 8 Sep.

edit 2: Welcome pack received. 12 months is from today and not start of supply. Again talks of making smart meter appointment but no mention of being contractual or if you can refuse.

    That's a bit naughty, IMHO.

EnergyHelpline show Eversmart as a dual fuel only variable tariff.

Interesting. I submit readings on a very regular basis and to date no invoice. I have been with them for over three months.

Yes, it's strange isn't it;...when I spoke to Mr Eversmart this morning he seemed to be unconcerned as to why it shows as a variable tariff on some sites when it's actually a fixed tariff.

He was obviously aware of this discrepancy but it didn’t seem to concern him much at all.

P.S. Mr Eversmart seemed quite keen to push the Smart Meter angle during our relatively short phone call. I actually have !!!8216;dumb!!!8217; Smart-Meters at the moment.

I have ex BG Smart meters that went dumb on my switch to Eversmart for Electricity and Zog for Gas. I can't be bothered with the disruption of getting the meters changed again so will wait for the SMETS1 over the air upgrade - whenever that happens!

I submit the meter readings onto their basic website and can see my bills there. I get nothing by e-mail - but that is not a problem.

Eversmart has been improving, but the integration to comparison sites does appear to be a bit incomplete.

I noticed a new tariff on their website, not on comparisons, and they were happy to change my existing tariff with them to the new one so that I extended my end date for the fixed period by an extra 6 months.

If they are still the cheapest at the end of my contract I will probably stick with them.

It's up but response time is very slow and it won't let me get a quote :(
