Reply to it as per the most suitable LBCCC reply example, in post #2 of the NEWBIES thread. Or adapt Johnersh's cathartic letter:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5675626

Anything that stops them in their tracks by making them respond formally and explain their failings.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Johnersh's letter fits my case perfectly, would it be bad to copy/paste it almost with no changes? After I send it to Wright Hassall's managing partner, is there anything else I should send off? I've read all the other responses and they all seem to attack them from a different angles.

You can use Johnersh's letter verbatim if it fits - he will be happy people are using it!

  • Ok, so in the end I've sent it to:
    Richard Lane
Wright Hassall LLP, Olympus Avenue, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV34 6BF

Then I've got the reply, but here's where I'm confused - didn't you guys mention that ZZPS is using WH letterhead pretending to be them? WH replied to me this time, so the "debt" was really sent over to them?

Anyways, here's the reply from them

edit: I can't post links yet, is there any other way, or can someone post them for me please?
  • Post it, but change the first part of the link to something different eg: hxxp:// instead of http://

  • Ah yes, their template response to my template :D
They can't very well tell you not to use template letters when that is exactly what they have done.

IMHO the letter is a near masterpiece in rephrasing the points and answering the questions they wish to. It is also incredibly condescending.

At no point has it been suggested parking tickets are unlawful or illegal or even that they should not be able to follow up alleged debts.

The issue I have is that the letter links court, ccjs and adverse credit scores etc without adequately explaining that you will be able to present your case and even if judgment is made against you the adverse credit effects only apply if that judgment remains unpaid. In that sense it is misleading as to the debt recovery process.

So we agree to disagree. Next step will be letter of claim from them. Come back once you have one. These now need to be much more comprehensive than previously, so there should be decent information to consider - or you'll need to "push back" to make them supply it.

    It's like ping-pong with them!
Whilst searching for people who received reply to your letter I came across this poster
    forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=5698366#5
who also sent a complaint to BPA about the parking management never directing him/her to appeal process, I've never done that. Would it be futile to do so now?
