Well almost all enquiries are satisfied and searches are back. Only issue is that LISA bonus is not due until sept 1st. Conveyancer says have to wait until after then to request LISA monies as this can only be done once. So I guess I won't be exchanging until September now 🙁0

Just had the news from the solicitor that we will potentially be looking at Friday 28th August as a completion date, hoping the other party will agree. Brilliant news as I work in a school and so once it comes to September I won't be able to have any time off work so moving in will be difficult0

gemsy46 said:Finally looks like things are moving forwards for me,
I've had an email from my solicitor and my buyer’s solicitor has proposed a completion date for next Friday 21st August.
Well, I best finish packing up the house, still got loads to do but I'm so happy1 -
We’re waiting on two things and we’re ready. It’s felt so long and nerve wrecking getting here, like it was impossible for everything to align. Were hoping for early September completion depending on when the two things are sorted.0

FtbDreaming said:Hi I’ve been at a caravan all week so a nice little distraction. I am due to complete Monday! My solicitor emailed me yesterday saying they’ve received my deposit funds, mortgage funds should be in tomorrow and HTB bonus has been requested so as far as I know things are going on 🤞🏻1

Today marks 2 weeks since my solicitor has been away on holiday, I've been unable to reach the "substitute" solicitor via calls nor does she reply to emails. Developer ideally wants us to exchange/complete next week as all enquiries have been responded to by them since Aug 3, we ideally want this asap as baby is on the way but no contact/response from my substitute Solicitor to either myself or the seller.Any other means to chase solicitor guys? main mistake is choosing a non-local solicitor, I might have to drive up north from Birmingham to get an update. So frustrating.0

Oh @toriade that’s awful. If it was me I’d probably do the drive up to Birmingham just for your own sanity. They shouldn’t be that hard to get hold of.Ive just callled mine for an update. My mortgage funds are in! The payment is set up for Monday and I will get a call from the solicitor Monday to confirm the house is mine! It has been a long long ten months but I’m almost there!Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Can I join plz?Timeline for PX for new build
17.07- agreed PX
18.07- instructed solicitor and applied for mortgage
30.07 - survey on our current house
07.08 - survey on new build
10.08 - mortgage offer received
11.08 - searches on purchase confirmed returned
12.08 - sale Additional enquiries Answered (So assumed searches returned but not sure)
13.08 - purchase additional enquiries answered
’unconditional’ exchange date was set at 18.08 and we have been told by site that ALCD is w/c 24.08, they expected us to exchange by today however it hasn’t happened. No one would answer my question as to what would happen if we didn’t meet the 18.08 date due to delays with solicitors (mainly been on developer side).
Got removals, cattery etc on stand-by, we are moving counties too so not a little journey, can’t wait to finally have a date! Asked what’s outstanding as according to site, nothing, however no response from our solicitors yet.0
