Just an update on our case... We've finally got the green light from our solicitor to complete tomorrow and she's requested the funds urgently today to be released from YBS, which they've confirmed to me on the phone themselves that the solicitors will definitely have the money this afternoon.
I cannot believe we're getting the keys tomorrow!!!!3 -

Now I'm just on the hunt for garden furniture..... Which apparently is like gold dust this week (typical, because it's been in stock literally every week until this one!)0 -
all completed and we have the keys.... We've moved a couple of bits over (my partner was a bit nuts to book the removals for tomorrow but at least we aren't wasting time!) we're so in love with our house.. Had a little cry when we were eating outside in OUR garden because it still doesn't quite feel real.
Good luck to everyone out there and I hope it all goes smoothly.... It's all worth the stress in the end!3 -
Aww that’s lovely @sjc93 I bet you don’t sleep much tonight with all the excitement of tomorrow.
My searches are due back Monday so I am hoping something happens next week. My purchase is right to buy so we’re already here (have been for 8 years) and I have really itchy feet to get started on the overhauling so I’ve spent the last 2 days painting the shed as that’s all I can do for now. It is so frustrating! I was expecting to be done and dusted by the beginning of April.Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Having had our offer accepted in January we find out a couple of weeks back that the house our vendor was buying at the top of the chain has been pulled from the market. She has found somewhere else, but is now back at the start with all the searches and the such. Estate agent reckons we're looking at September now which will be 9 months after our offer was accepted assuming nothing else goes wrong! We were hoping to be in by now so we could enjoy the lockdown summer in our nice big garden, but alas that has all gone up the spout.1

We have now signed all of the documents we need to, just awaiting out closure statement for our H2B Isa's which will hopefully be here at some point next week.
Looking to exchange in about 2 weeks time with completion date set for the 17th July.
Is exchanging about 4 weeks before completion a normal timescale?0 -

I'm waiting to exchange on a new build. The area has set up a website for anyone who has moved in/moving in. A message came up today saying it was ok to use the outside tap again in plot 20 (my plot) so residents on my soon to be road have been going in to use to water their turf suggested by the head builder (cant think of proper title). Some also mentioned that it wasn't working properly. Is this allowed? I know I haven't exchanged but worried people will be trampling about and things broken.0

Our buyers have waited ages to get their searches done. No they have them they have decided they want a survey done. We were hoping to exchange ASAP and our house, a new build is ready and the builders want us in by end of June or they will remarket the house. I'm a bit concerned why out buyers have asked for this. Also, can this be organised in such a short time frame? We have had a walk through our house, paid upfront for upgrades. Getting a bit nervous now.0
