@KatieDee, Congratulations, we aren't there yet, but I would imagine it is normal. It is a big life change so I would imagine everyone has some doubts. As soon as you are in I am sure most of your anxiety will vanish0

We finally exchanged!
Now I feel incredibly anxious...is it the right house? The right area? Can we really afford it? Is this the right decision?
...this is perfectly normal, right?! :rotfl:
Congrats!!!
The problem I’m having is controlling unnecessary spending. Buying £6k worth of sofa when I don’t really need it etc.0 -
@letitbe90. Haha, I am the same - I want all new for my new home0

Thanks guys!
It's very exciting. I can now officially order furniture (not that we can afford anything!) and start to plan the actual move. It's also absolutely terrifying.
I hope you all get there soon. From my experiences, it seems to drag on for ages, then happen way too fast for you to grasp what's going on0 -
We've ended up exchanging and completing today!
Been an absolute mare by the sounds of it and our solicitor mentioned that someone was physically driving a few hundred mile trip to collect a deed of variation document up the chain as it had to happen today.
Our vendor has only managed to get their keys at half 5 so we are currently just sat waiting for them to move out before we will meet them later on to collect the keys.
Thankfully we are FTB living at home so didn't have anywhere that we needed to move out of or it could have gotten a bit messy!0 -
@mpr87 that is great! Enjoy your first home - I hope you will be very happy there :j:beer::T0

Lovely to see some good news on the thread, hope you're haply in your new homes mpr87 and katiedee!
We've had confirmation today all we're waiting for is the sellers sols to resolve the indemnity, if needs be we'll pay but we really don't want to (its because they couldn't sign a statement of truth regarding access) As soon as that's dealt with we can have the bill and transfer the deposit. So close!!¤ £25k paid off with Stepchange DMP ¤ Debt Free 01/09/17 ¤¤ Saving for a house deposit by '19 ¤ Savs @ £20,000 ¤

Congrats to those that have now exchanged and/or completed!
We are still waiting for our buyer to transfer her deposit over. We were originally told it had all been signed and was going through (10 days ago!) And now we are are being told that they are still waiting for the transfer of equity from her ex partner to go through.
Neither our buyer, estate agent or her solicitors seem to be any rush and we are supposed to be completing on Friday! Looking highly unlikely now, so I shall have to start cancelling removals and messing people about :mad:Be Kind, Work Hard, Stay Humble, Smile Often, Keep Honest, Stay Loyal, Travel When Possible, Never Stop Learning, Be Thankful Always and Love0 -
Thank you!
Yes all signed up at my end. If my solicitor sent it late on Monday afternoon about 5pm then vendors solicitor should get it today. They are super keen so shouldn’t be any issue :-)0
