Told last week we were waiting for 1st person in chain to pay their deposit then we would exchange this week. Deposit paid yesterday now apparently our buyers buyer haven't got round to signing their contracts. They got them last Monday. How long does it take. I'm so pee'd off as every time EA says we are their something else turns up.
Praying they find a pen and get it done !!!55357;!!!56865;0 -

Oh no, this makes me feel bad! We’re at the point of needing an appointment with our solicitor to sign our contracts and because my husband works away the earliest I can get an appointment is next Wednesday. I feel like we’re delaying things, but can’t do anything about it, I’ve usually turned most things around in 24 hours, so this is just frustrating.0 -
Last went through this as a FTB 18 months ago - decided to post this time in the hope that I won't feel so stressed about it all.
My timeline:
Estate Agents Instructed: 1st May
First meeting with broker: 1st May (weird situation because I'm changing jobs)
House on Rightmove: 4th May
Acceptable offer on mine: 8th May - quicker than I expected so was not prepared.
Viewed new houses: 12th May
Second meeting with broker: 14th May
AIP: 14th May
Offer accepted on different house: 16th May - Chain complete
Full 'proper' mortgage application: 21st May - should be fine, broker has explained my work situation to Halifax and they said it's okay.
Solicitors doing their many things. My buyer's surveyor coming tomorrow. Aiming to hopefully complete in July...0 -
Our vendor's estate agent is going to call me today. We emailed each other yesterday and she says she thinks our vendor has now completed and moved out of the property (she is buying a new build with TW on a part-exchange scheme), so the property is now empty :T
Then she said she had spoken to our solicitors for the purchase and they have had their enquiries replied to over a week ago but have still not reviewed them  So frustrating! I know the TW sols are super quick at replying because I've seen the documents from the first enquiries, so it's very annoying that it's our side being slow! Especially now that the property is empty. Our sols for the sale of my flat are progressing well and have replied to the first lot of enquiries from the buyer and there doesn't seem to be many more, so hopefully we should be ready for exchange on that soon hopefully.
I wish we had been able to use the same sols for both the sale & the purchase! The sols on the sale are so much better bur Countrywide Connect F***d up right at the start and although they instructed the same sols for purchase and sale, they then started doing all of the work on the purchase themselves and so we were stuck with them!
Oh well, at least the estate agent is now on our side in pushing things through. I'm going to have a chat with her this morning to tie everything in together and hopefully a completion date will be in sight soon!0 -
We are FTBs and had our offer accepted 6th March. We've been in to see our solicitor 3 weeks ago and signed everything. Paid our deposit a couple of weeks ago and sorted building insurance etc. Waiting on a couple of enquiries but yesterday had an email from the solicitor with potential completion dates from our vendors. They suggested 22nd June or 29th June. We have replied with 29th June. I don't know why they are suggesting dates when we are still waiting for them to answer enquiries? So bored of this now0

Just received the management pack for our purchase and signed the application for that. Sent back straight away so our sols should get that tomorrow. We are buying a house that is on a new build estate but 5 years old (we also live on the same estate, in a flat currently so we know it really well). Hopefully we are edging closer now as it seems like there were no further enquiries raised....0
