@RS2000. I hope you get some better news today and exchange.Anyone got any suggestions on how to get this bloody contract pack sent to me today? I think I’ll wait a hour or two and if I don’t hear from my solicitor as she has said she’s waiting for it, I’ll then ask the seller if he would ring his solicitor and ask them to send it this morning.I hope everyone has a massive leap forward in their house purchases this week, me included!!3

Apparently my seller's solicitor is on annual leave and this massive company thats getting paid thousands hasn't heard of the concept of "arranging cover"1

Has anyone dealt with Purple Bricks recently as a buyer?
Not sure what their offering is for ‘post sales support’ but I keep getting pushed to a mailbox that has a message saying ‘we’ll respond in 24 hours’ and it’s been over a week - so frustrating!

Think I’ll need to try and find a phone number instead, no doubt I’ll end up bouncing round a call centre!0 -
I emailed our solicitor if they had any updates on if 18th Feb will be the new completion date. they replied saying
"I haven’t had a response yet. Instructions will need to be taken up the chain though as to when they will be in a position to exchange until it comes back down to us"
what does this mean? what instructions?

I emailed her today saying I don’t feel like I'm getting anywhere when the draft contract was at the solicitors and purple bricks don’t seem to use a phone to ring just email and them don’t chase. I’ve now asked if the seller wouldn’t mind ringing his solicitor to ask for it to be sent.0 -

So whilst your solicitor will speak to the sellers solicitor they then have to follow it up through the chain for everyone to agree.
It’s really frustrating, we’ve been chasing an exchange since September and our mortgage offer expires on Friday and we’ve just been told:
’We are still not in a position to agree any exchange or completion dates in this matter. Please let me know if your client wish to secure a new mortgage offer or if they are not proceeding in this matter.’
I just need an estimated date so we can agree an extension and they can’t even give me that.0 -
