Hoping ours is with the land registry that would be a positive our seller has been waiting for the loan company to provide the land registry with something they didn't on their first attempt to remove the charge back in Feb. Still can't get any answer from the EA if it's at the loan company still or land registry. We have 3 weeks left of our mortgage offer hoping for a miracle now as we signed contracts back in Jan. We had to complete on our sale 3 weeks ago now because we were going to lose it if we didn't. So stressful isn't it we are into our 7th month since we accepted our offer on our old property and had the offer accepted our purchase.Natbag said:
Waiting on the Land Registry here too - my heart sank when my solicitor said it had to go to LR. It is being expedited though, or so she said. But why she didn't tell me it had to go to them originally and set my expectations accordingly I don't know. I thought it only had to go to the lender. Sigh.sassypurple said:This made me smile, need it at the minute still no news on our purchase and now down to last 3 weeks of mortgage offer - sellers EA seems to of gone AWOL so no idea where they are at sorting out the land registry issue.
Fingers crossed someone gets some positive news this week as it seems really thin on the ground on here0 -
Yes, that was a surprise. I was under the impression the company would sign the deed, then the lender needed to see and agree, update their paperwork, and done. Oh no, they signed and then my solicitor said it needed to go to LR first, then to the lender. OH !!!!!!. Not sure why it can't be sent to the LR on completion rather than before exchange, but then I'm not a conveyancer. It took us I think about 5-6 weeks to get agreement for the deed to be signed too, and now we are looking at another 4+ weeks.n0438 said:
Sorry! I have been reading your tale over the past few days.Natbag said:
Noooooooooo, don't say that. I'm in a similar position, we are waiting on a deed of variation in the chain (of 6) that needs to go to the Lamd Registry now it has been agreed, and my vendors are threatening to put the house back on the market. It's so stressful. Have you been waiting 7 weeks for the LR? Was it expedited?n0438 said:Haven't posted in a while, gets boring writing we're still waiting day after day 😬. Anyway we're now on month 6 of this palarva and we had the news yesterday that our vendors want to put house back on market.
Chain of 7 😳 with flat at bottom needing a dreaded deed of variation that was requested about 7 weeks ago.
We're waiting on freeholder of flat to sign the doc. Everything else is done. LR hasn't been mentioned. Oh, please let them not have to do it as well 😳0 -

It's just horrendous. At least you're half way sorted. We can't break the chain, there is no viable option to. I've been begging my ex to - if he moved out and allowed our buyer to complete, I could take my half of the equity to complete on my purchase. But he's a **** and won't, even though it's his issue that's holding up/risking 4 other parties in this chain.Hoping ours is with the land registry that would be a positive our seller has been waiting for the loan company to provide the land registry with something they didn't on their first attempt to remove the charge back in Feb. A few house moves ago back in 2008 I had an issue that needed to go back to LR and my solicitor managed to call the department and have my issue pulled and dealt with that day, I remember my solicitor citing “a chain a house mouse including young children and about to be made homeless” I think was the wordings my solicitor used. Can you not ask your solicitor to pick up the phone to them?Natbag said:Well I have no idea what to think. I spoke to our vendor's EA and they've said they are fine and will wait on this outstanding enquiry in the chain. Ok, but why are they messaging me telling me they will put the house back on the market if we can't complete this week. So I think they are hanging in there for now, but still by a thread I feel. It's going to be a long and painful however many more weeks.

Really feeling the pressure today. Our buyer was late returning their signed contract, which should now arrive with their solicitor today. Is it feasible to ask for exchange on Friday this week? One day after the paperwork has been returned?
We're away on our very-delayed UK honeymoon as of next Friday and desperately need to book a storage unit and removals firm. We've done as much as we can and I'm terrified of jinxing our situation if I go ahead and start firming up bookings!0 -
Yes, but they would need to ensure deposit was transferred today. I would if I were you get onto your selling agent, tell them to contact your buyer and ask them to transfer deposit funds today in readiness for exchange tomorrow. Also, depends when completion is as some lenders want 7 days to drawdown funds and some only 1-3 days. Hope that helpsamyr said:Really feeling the pressure today.
