Caz_Mnaz said:Thanks @BountyBlink. Must say it has taken all excitement from it, he was going to be my head gardener 😂 and now he will probably never even see the house. Quite hard to swallow. BUT the show must go one and the move means closer to mum and school friends
Here's hoping a positive week for everyone

We completed last Friday,
(we broke our chain as our chain above fell apart but wanted to still keep hold of our purchase and the only way we could do that was to sell and go into rented as the bottom of our chain had a date of 23 April as last date they could do otherwise they would need to go into a rental themselves and commit to a year and we just didn’t think we would sell quickly and knew if we did lose our chain below that our vendor would have remarket theirs!)
So we moved into a tiny flat (from a 4 bed house and out everything but the very basics into storage) flat is actually really nice lol l. We have a maximum tenancy if 4 months so huge gamble for us that our vendor would find something and a chain be formed quickly!!!
then as I was taking a bath earlier at 630Pm our vendors agent called to say that they had found something and that seller was buying a chain free house!!!!So it’s ALL BACK ON!!!!!Oh please let this go through now!!!!! Have everything crossed!4 -
Wooooooooooooo! Fingers crossed0

We are waiting to exchange on a new build and the developer is now threatening to pull out as we are past the 28 days by more than a week.
The delay is nothing to do with us and we are pushing the solicitors as much as we can but getting tense.0 -

OMG the estate management company have agreed to sign the deed of variation! We still aren't out of the woods yet, and now we'll have to wait for HSCB to update their paperwork, and for the solicitor to get everything together to issue the title deeds and contracts to my ex - and of course she's not back until May 4th - but it's a big relief. Going to start pushing my boyfriend's buyers to make sure they are completely ready in preparation, and I think we won't be able to exchange for at least a couple more weeks, but thank **** is all I can say today.
@BountyBlink - the issue was that the mortgage lender on my ex's purchase would not lend based on an estate management fee contract, and if he could not go ahead with his purchase he was refusing to allow the sale of our house as he still lives there, which meant my purchase could not proceed and the whole chain was threatened with collapse. It's been dragging on for weeks and wasn't looking good, but thankfully my ex has been proactive, doing most of the research and negotiating himself, and has managed to persuade them. The solicitor was ready to admit defeat.

Hello, I am new to the forum and please let me know if I'm posting in the wrong thread! I am currently awaiting my mortgage offer, and it's taking absolutely forever!
