Unlocking EE phone - Help!

In my experience, registering a phone with EE online often doesn't register it properly, so it appears to be registered but the unlock request doesn't get actioned.
I've found the most reliable method is to call to register the phone/sim card and request an unlock code. There is a 25p charge to call customer service, but topping up £5 to get a free unlock code is cheaper than the £8.99 fee anyway.0 -
