    It’s the 30th Anniversary of The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, one Britain's most beloved series of books that have been on radio, a hugely popular TV show and of course film and now you could win tickets to the biggest party the unfashionable end of the galaxy has ever seen!

    Join best-selling author Eoin Colfer – creator of criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl – and actor Simon Jones, the original Arthur Dent, in a celebration of 30 years of the late, great Douglas Adams’ classic British comedy.

    The day will also include Clive Anderson, Andrew Sachs, The Simpsons’ Harry Shearer and other surprise guests! This’ll be your first chance to see, hear and buy the sixth instalment, And Another Thing... by Eoin Colfer. With other out-of-this-world entertainment throughout the day – including special free screenings of the Hitchhiker’s series and book signings – this event is great for families and anyone who has ever enjoyed this great British comedy.

    Start the day at a photocall of the largest number of Hitchhiker fans ever. Remember to wear your dressing gown and bring along a towel.

    A full panel of Hitchhiker’s experts and friends of Douglas Adams discuss the great man and his work.

    Mega-signing of the fantastic new editions of the first five Hitchhiker novels.

    3pm - Session 3 ‘And Another Thing…’
    Royal Festival Hall
    Eoin Colfer, bestselling author of Artemis Fowl, gives an exclusive reading from his new Hitchhikers’ novel And Another Thing... – the sixth book in the series. Introduced by Ireland’s multi-platinum selling band The Blizzards, playing their single inspired by the book.

    4.30pm - Session 4: Hitchhikers Live On Stage!

    Simon Jones as Arthur Dent plus the original Ford Prefect, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Marvin The Paranoid Android and Trillian are set to are set to appear in person – Improbability Drive permitting – the show directed and produced by the legendary Dirk Maggs will re-create classic moments from the saga live on stage – radio-style. Joined by special guest stars including Eoin Colfer.

    5.45pm - Book Signing 2: Eoin Colfer
    The Clore Ballroom at Royal Festival Hall
    Buy the new sixth book in the series a day before everyone else and get it signed by Eoin Colfer.
