Talkmobile contract - switch to Vodafone

Totally get how you feel and can understand this is something most of us wouldn’t be aware of. I had to deal with a few mobile contacts at work so it prompted me to ask last Friday if I had to give notice or not...........but how many would think you’d need to if your contract is coming to an end!! I think they said the notice period was 30 days, so I plan to phone and give them notice 30days before my account is due to expire in about 2 months.
I’ve no intention of staying with them any longer than necessary if they won’t sell me the phone I’ve selected for the price they are STILL advertising. I’m planning to initially just buy a monthly sim with no contract and see where I go from there0 -
Not just another new thread for a well-trodden customer lack of knowledge but repeated on an existing thread. It seems the uniformed flock believe that buy writing it often enough what they believe should happen will actually come true. It won't.0

I have just heard from Talk mobile and they said it is not true about only having a month left .........they have been told they will be running until at least 2019
....but I totally get how the staff must feel as I!!!8217;ve not long finished working for a company that went into liquidation. It was a horribly experiance, especially having to deal with angry creditors0 -
I'm a talk mobile employee:A
I can confirm to you that talk mobile is infact closing down.
When?
Roughly the end of next year(2019)
What about vodafone?
We ask that our customers migrate to vodafone so they keep their talk mobile loyalty reward. We do this by offering a 20%-50% discounts on handsets (in 2 years contracts) and 30%-35% off sim only deals with Vodafone.
Why Vodafone?
Talk mobile has been owned by vodafone since August 2015. Migrating over means you stay on the same network you talk to the same people and vodafone have a wider range of offers and phones they can provide you compared to talk mobile.
Any questions Ill be happy to answer to upgrade to vodafone or check if your due an upgrade simply call up talk mobile.0 -
You also get Vodafone customer "service". Good luck if you fall for the guff.0

the vodafone deals are not as generous as we are getting on Talkmobile. For example my sim only is 4G data, 3K minutes and 5K texts. Therefore I am thinking of switching to SMARTY0

for only £7.500

Sitting tight on a TalkMobile contract may no longer be an option! Out of the blue, I've received "Welcome to Vodafone", "Vodafone Terms & Conditions", and "Do more with your Vodafone Mobile" texts tonight. I even managed to sit on webchat with Vodafone, being told that it was nothing to do with them, while watching my Vodafone Account (useless Broadband) details being changed by an unnamed third party!0
