I am so sorry. I know I'm being seriously dim but I'm panicking now!! I got a ukcps charge in April this year dropping my son off at uni in Leeds in a small parking area behind a witherspoon pub. Not a pay and display. I dropped his bag off and was back at the car within a few minutes. On my son and his mates advice I have ignored everything. I'm now bricking it. The last letter dated 5/7/17 says immediate payment required. Too.late to appeal. Too late to do anything. I'm absolutely stressing out now and yes I've read the thread but truly couldn't see a bit about idiots who bury their heads! I'll take any abuse for being so stupid but please, can anyone advise me what to do???

Who was this letter from? Was it debt collectors? If so post 4 in the Newbies thread tells you what to do.0

Bricking it?! A bit strong about this sorry firm of ex-clampers in their seedy HQ which was behind the back of a Leeds pub, last time they were pursued by bailiffs on 'The Sheriffs are Coming'!

LOL, calm down, this can't give you a CCJ or anything bad as long as you don't ignore court papers, (rare for UKCPS) not likely. Worst case is merely a small claim that you defend, and if you lost, costs about £150. Big deal...we win over 99% of defended parking cases.
Please read the NEWBIES thread, so what if it's too late to appeal, it would have been rejected anyway. UKCPS are in the IPC and no appeal is worth trying really in fact the BMPA advice is to ignore them (except a court claim = defend with forum help):
http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/UKCPS.html
Look how LOW your chances of a claim are. Stay under the radar where you started.
Come back at claim stage if it happens and DO NOT take that as a time to panic & pay! Keep all letters for six years.
And next time, unload on double yellows, on street (you do know that is ALLOWED on Council streets? Up to 20 mins unloading is exempt). What is it with people who always want to unload in a car park? My husband is the same! I am the opposite - unloading is OK on most streets.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

IGNORING is certainly ONE WAY to deal with it , for now
you are only an ignoramus muppet if you ignore an LBC from UKCPS or their legal representatives , or worse still if you IGNORE an MCOL from Northampton CCBC (court case) - this type of action leads to default CCJ,s
UKCPS have 6 years to try a court case , until that happens (it may not) , get on with your life ! Come back IF you receive an LBC or an MCOL0 -
It's from UKCPS as above.
It's their 3rd or 4th lether.0 -
You've lightened my load of bricks! Lol. Thank you so.much for taking the time to reply to.me! I really appreciate it:0

Just googled LBC. The last letter said "this us the final notice before court proceedings are instigated."
So...was that my LBC?0 -
Great!
So resolve this for the future:
NO car park (unless it's free/offered to students by the Uni). Use double yellows and unload from the road next time (where there are no kerb blips) for Uni continuous unloading/loading activity for no more than 20 mins.
Leave a note on the dashboard; a real Council CEO MUST observe and take photos and discount loading exempt activity - not only that Council PCns are lower and easy to appeal for a genuine 'loading' driver.
Make sure the 'roadway' you choose is clearly public highway not some private road with scumbag signs!Just googled LBC. The last letter said "this us the final notice before court proceedings are instigated."
So...was that my LBC?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
