That sounds more like a stress headache than anything else. Do you have anything you can do which is a little mindless? Anything on your computer like spider solitaire or a match 3 game (I recommend Big Fish). If it is not your sort of thing then fair enough but I find that I can actually fall asleep playing & it doesn't cost a penny to play the 1 hour trials. There are so many games you'll never need to pay for one.

When you have a brain that won't turn off it sometimes needs some help. I know they say that using a computer is not a good idea for sleep problems but I strongly think that it depends on what you are doing on there. Social media, even MSE & reading the news are just additional stressors.

Puzzler magazine (usually 10) online puzzles free to do every day, jigzone jigsaws also a free one every day plus over a hundred back ones. Anything to get your brain to turn off & go on automatic.

If you look at my time of posting you can tell sleeping isn't high on the current agenda. That is because I went out tonight & when I got home I came on here instead of doing what I suggested. I believe the modern response to that is MY BAD.
  • Thanks Badmemory I used to play farming games but now I listen to audiobooks.

I went to the chiropractor today. That was interesting. The noises my back can make. WOW.

I have perfect blood pressure! but my back is a bit !!!!!!ed. She recommended 3 weeks of twice weekly sessions and then 6 weeks of once a week. I have been in tremendous pain so I am going for it.

It is however going to cost 528 pounds.

which I don't really have. But I made a few decisions today. In the midst of a !!!!!! headache brought on/made worse from yesterday by the session (normal) that I MUST look after myself.

I have two lots of vets fees on the CC, and two lots of petrol and shopping - amounts to 812 pounds. That plus the Chiropractor fees. Well I decided to balance transfer it. I couldn't pay it off in a month, and then the rabbits are due a check up. So I have bt'ed 1600 pounds. (30 months, 3% fee)

    So now I am 3700 +1600 in debt. 5300.

    which is worse than ever.

But I have a summer house, a fence, mostly fixed teeth, rabbit housing.

Amazing how things can spiral out of control really.

I suspect I may get part of the money back for the vets but not all and in case the car needs new tyres.

I don't want to be this person who is always in debt. 10 years I have been here and got out of debt twice before. Let us hope the third time is the charm.

    xxxxxx

It's frightening how spends can soon mount up and get out of control. It's so easily done. But sounds like you've made a start on taking back control. You can do it :)

Currently at the point of moving the problem rather than solving it.

But it is something I guess.

    It is a start.

(but it is going to take a bloody long time to get it paid off!!)

  • The thing is, I have realised that everything is really getting more expensive - food, petrol, and so much in the house and out (!) needs doing.

The phrase that goes round in my head is I have to sort this out!!

  • Things are pretty !!!! here.

Dog 1 has been referred to the Royal Veterinary College. We went today and the news isn't brilliant. They can't rule out cancer, which according to a google search (will I ever learn?) gives him about 6 months (apparently not). This is not a diagnosis. But all the symptoms he has point to it.

I feel quite seriously awful. Just so beaten down by it all.

I am tired. I know people have it worse, but that is seriously no comfort - not that it ever should be obviously. I mean that life currently seems to be series of problems that need to be solved. And some problems are small and some are enormous. And all are constant. My three closest friends are all in some form of hell right now. None of us are getting a break. Cancer, money, children, house, lack of job, needing a new job. I suppose it is just life. But frankly it is a pain in the !!!!.

Mum cannot cope with the idea the Dog 1 is ill and if I had any sense at all when I got the phone I would have taken the call in private but it was too late. She heard. I can't do everything.

In other news, the Informer is very good.
