That's interesting. I've found whisky and water good for the voice when doing the local panto. Other members of the cast seem to think I've make that up, but it really does help my throat.

If one spends most of the year in the countryside, being fairly quiet, and then indulges in a full-on week of rehearsals and performances lasting 2hrs each, the old vocal chords can take a right hammering.
Add to that the fact that 30 of us are squashed into a dressing room about the size of someone's lounge, it's usually February, and therefore at least one person will have a cold & sore throat, or worse.....well, you get the picture.
However, this year, we made each other so ill, it ended up being done at Easter! :rotfl:0 -

Latest addition to the 'set'. Appeared whilst I was away. The knot hole is perfect to lay a bottle of wine in.
I am sorry to tell you, but the bench and table look rubbish there.
They obviously need to be liberated.
Out of the kindness of my heart I am willing to give them a home. *
