That's a real win on the wine PP I like the idea of charging the grocery budget when you drink it, which actually means, come Monday you will have24 bottles of free wine. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Enjoy the rest of your weekendOutstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

Thank you Karma, I'm so looking forward to it. I really like cooking when I'm not pushed for time:). I hope you have a lovely Easter too xxI got a pile of 19p veg and three lots of 29p spuds from Aldi. I roasted parsnips, carrots and swede for tonight's dinner and made a batch of daphinoise potatoes. We had one lot tonight and the rest went in foil trays in the freezer for easy week day roasts when I'm back at work. I'm going to braise one red cabbage with apples for the freezer and will pickle the other, the leeks are going to become soup and cheesy leek pie filling and the rest of the veg will be sc curry or Thai carrot soup. Amazing value so may have another trip before Tuesday and tweak the meal plan to take advantage as I've plenty of time to cook this week.I've had a bit of a splurge:o. My favourite wine is £7 a bottle and isn't widely available but its currently on offer in Sainsbury's at £6 with an extra 25% off if you buy six bottles. I went through TCB and should get £5.25 and got free delivery by taking a 9-10pm slot on Monday. I've ordered 24 bottles:eek::eek:. As I drink two bottles a month it'll last a while and I've used my £90 TCB to pay for it. As it's brought it down to £4.28 a bottle I'll charge it to my grocery budget as and when I use one. Confession over :rotfl:

Have a lovely weekend.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Hello :wave:
I've had a funny old day - feeling a bit weary and lacking in motivation but got a lot done. Weird:p
I've come to the conclusion that I need goals for this week so it doesn't slip through my fingers but not too many so I end up weary and fed up. So, I've written a list of stuff that needs to be done and I'm going to tackle one thing a day.
Today was mainly domestics;
Dd changed her bed and I got it line dried along with one load of laundry which is folded and put away.
Hoovered living room and swept kitchen and utility room
Emptied and refilled the freezer and updated inventory.
Made two curries, Dahl and Bombay potatoes for tomorrow when friends visit plus extra for the freezer.
Found two birthday gifts from stash and wrapped them and wrote cards.
Sliced the remaining lo turkey and froze in packs for two easy roast dinners when I'm back at work. Picked the carcass and used meat and a bag of frozen mushrooms to make blackbean noodles using an AF kit from stores for dinner.
Filled the green bin with branches from recent tree clipping - there's still a huge pile :eek:
Watched two episodes of Peaky Blinders - so good
Had lunch with the kids using up lo. Very rare for everyone to be home on a Saturday:)
Took ds to his mate's and will pick him up when I drop dd and her mates in town. They go out after my normal bedtime. Must be getting old:rotfl:
I've also spent £3.94 of my personal spends on a Wallis summer dress for work off eBay. I've also got my eye on two more (one Monsoon and the other Phase Eight) and that will be my summer work and holiday wardrobe done.
Tomorrow I need to;
Make a mild, ds friendly curry, naan bread and pilau rice. The rest is just reheating today's efforts:)
Photo and sort out 15 things to eBay
Go for a run or do Shred
Have a couple of hours doing as I please
Check if mortgage totals have updated :j
Have a nice evening with friends
Happy Easter Saturday to you

Have a nice evening with friendsand I'm absolutely sure that weariness can be done away with by focussing on this lot listed above, rather than all the tasks :kisses3:
I highly recommend shopping for Phase Eight, by the way :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
One mid teen and a young adult Cath. Luckily they like proper food! Its taken years to get to this stage but meal planning, targeted ys shopping (never pay more than 10p for bread:D), plenty of veggie meals and batch cooking has really nailed it down. We also waste nowt:D:D. The GC on OS is amazing and I've got so much to thank the stalwarts like Weezil and JackieO for. They are the masters:A
Well done on all your exercise:T. Have a lovely, lovely Easter xx
