    I've had a ns weekend:j and do you know what? Its been b****y lovely. No pressure, no hassle, no stress, no guilt, no crowds. Love my new (ish) simple life:)

    The kids were with their dad so it was easier to indulge in a bit of self indulgence. Friday night on these weekends is traditionally an easy batch cooked dinner, bottle of wine, a good chat and feet up in front of the TV. Its such a great end to a busy working week and sets us up for the weekend.
    Saturday (apart from a run) was a bit lazy but the weather was grim so staying cosy indoors and having a snoozy afternoon was rather nice. Lunch was hm soup and ys artisan bread and dinner was toad in the hole (using hm veggie sausages), onion gravy and roast veg which was perfect for the weather and really yummy:)

    I woke early as I often do at the weekend :mad: but at least it meant a leisurely hour or so reading in bed whilst still getting out for a run reasonably early. It was a gorgeous morning, sunny and cold so perfect for running. We had a great trail run through the woods and encountered piles of snow, fallen trees, tracks that had become gorse obstacle courses as loads of bushes had collapsed under the weight of the snow and more mud than I've ever seen. It was brilliant:). Got tired legs now though!

    Lunch was lo and then I had a lovely afternoon with the kids and they had bought such thoughtful gifts :). We all went to see mum who was on good form too so all in all a superduper day :)

    In terms of chores I've achieved nowt:rotfl: However, successes have included;

    Posted remaining eBay items
    Transferred all eBay money to Os pot
    Ns weekend:)
    All meals from freezer and all lo used up
    Bed changed
    Laundry done
    At least 2_litres of water drunk each day:j. Massive achievement for me as I struggle with this:o
    Listed 12 items on eBay

    Off for an early night as this week is pretty hectic so I don't want to start out tired.

    Happy Sunday to you:)

    Not a bad start to the week:D. I slept well which always helps ( very grateful to Greying Pilgrim for putting me on to sleepy tea :A) and had a busy but productive day. Class were pretty good (for a Monday - they are often a bit wild after a weekend:eek:) and I got all my marking done and got tomorrow's stuff ready before I left. I can't always be a***d but I should try as its so much easier when I do.

    In money news one of my eBay non payers paid so £21 to the os pot:D. I've just paid my first lot of eBay and PayPal fees which make a dent in what you make but I'm still about £109 up and Ive had a good clear out and declutter too so worth doing for the moment.

    I called at Asda as I'd run out of milk and I wanted my Mikado free gift from Shopmium (which I couldn't find:mad:) and I got a few good ys bargains for the freezer. A sea bass, two tuna steaks, 2 mixed bags of artisan rolls and one of pastries, a white cabbage and 5 tubs of posh veggies you steam in the microwave for £1.60:money: The veggies were lovely but I'm not kidding they were about 5 mouthfuls - RRP £2.50:eek::eek::eek: OK for 10p though:p.

    Other mfw successes included;

    Cheap, healthy eats (porridge for breakfast, lo for lunch and batch cooked veggie chilli from the freezer for dinner).

    Weights class done

    Daily sweep and swipe done and sink shined

    Used gym showers

    and that's about it! Off to bed with my sleepy tea and a book:)

    Happy Monday to you :)

    Goodness today has flown, probably because its been so busy:eek: with one or two minor exceptions everything got done thank goodness and until tomorrow at least , work is up to date - phew!

    I really want to catch up on the diaries but it won't be tonight as I'm pooped:p. I'm determined to keep posting daily - sorry :rotfl: I'm sure what I had for my lunch and that my marking is up to date is as dull as but it keeps me focused, not only on my finances but on my lifestyle and well being goals so it needs to continue!!

    I have no money news other than a 98p TT, a nsd and a bid on one of my eBay items. Wider mfw successes have included;

    Laundry done and on the airer

    Spin class done and used gym shower

    Thrifty eats (porridge for breakfast, lo for lunch and batch cooked sweet and sour from the freezer with egg fried rice). Lo are portioned up for lunch tomorrow.

    Made overnight oats

    Helped Ds with some coursework

    Filled in nasty form I've been putting off and emailed it

    Marking done

    Recycling sorted out

    Pile of clutter in kitchen put away in the right places

    Shined my sink:)

    Off to watch 1/2 hour of TV while drinking my sleepy tea then bed. Living the dream :rotfl:

    Happy Tuesday to you :)

    I love to hear that your marking is up to date, makes me still believe it's possible in this day and age. (Mondays were always the worst for me, homework due in day - 2 pieces per child (32 children in class)
    Numeracy, literacy & phonics. As hard as I tried to get some 'marking free lessons' it never seemed to work.

    Thank you lovely peeps,this little bolt hole keeps me sane.:A

    Glad today's over. Don't have to say that often thank goodness so I've drawn a line under it. Onwards and upwards:)

    I've had another nsd:j. I'm finding that I'm hitting a bit of as rhythm which I hope lasts. I food shop one a week, fill up with fuel and do a top up of milk and ys stuff once a week and that's generally it. Socialising has pretty much switched to home which I really like and I appreciate the odd lunch/night out all the more as a result. The urge to save is far greater than the urge to spend - I love watching my os pot grow :D

    Other mfw success have been;

    Nice little chat with Ds :)

    Weights class done despite still suffering from Monday's:eek:

    Plenty of water drunk

    Cheap, healthy eats (overnight oats for breakfast, lo for lunch and hm veggie sausages, posh ys veggies and mustard mash with onion gravy for dinner).

    Marking up to date

    Emailed Amazon about ds's dodgy laptop and they've offered me a full refund :j

    Work admin done but personal shoved in a drawer:o

    Shopping list done

    Off for a quiet read to calm my battered head!

    Happy hump day :)
