IKEA Flat Pack House

Good afternoon: Interesting concept...affordable, healthy housing. Unfortunately prefabricated housing has a poor rep in the UK but has fared far better elsewhere...very upmarket prefabs are available in British Columbia (Canada) http://www.mkd-arc.com/homes/process/ 'Flat packs' houses were available in North America in the early 1900s through mail order...technology has moved on in the intervening years.;)
I'll be watching the Boklok developments with great interest.

You can bild a brick'n'tile house for under £20k if you building in volume, it's the cost of the land that is the issue.
It's another distraction by the government.
Don't look at the rampant speculation in land, look over there instead...Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0 -

Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

I'm sure you're not implying that our home grown builders using brick and tile are all cowboys huh?
We looked at pre made/flat pack houses before we brought this place (to extend~) It was quite impressive what you could get for your money after the land costs.0 -

no not calling home grown builders using brick and tile cowboys
i was trying to make the point that Skanska are actually one of the most respected building companies in the world and for people like bobproperty to slag their products off disapoints and surprises me0 -
please try to remember people in a few years time there will be very few brick/block houses being built
most new houses will be flat pack in the form of timber frame0
