47GB in one day is a lot.
Wherever you go, you need an unlimited package.0 -

A games console that updated ?

Streaming on up to three tvs plus music. Amazon prime, Netflix ect.
I've never looked at my usage as i'm with virgin.
Would I be best to stick with virgin?
I pay £35 for the VIVID 150 Fibre.0 -

No -- 47GB in one day is INSANE!!!
I can't imagine what you've been downloading to reach that figure! Do you have a lot of devices connected in constant use? Is this a small (or large?!) office, rather than a home PC? Have you been watching ultra-HD video 24 hours a day? Have you been downloading huge torrent files?0 -

That almost explains it. I'm not clued up on exactly how much data these streams use but... 47GB still sounds like a lot.satan666wayne wrote: »Would I be best to stick with virgin?

If you're downloading that much, you want a very fast unlimited connection. I'm guessing the VIVID 150 is 150Mb/s? That's damned fast, and I presume it's unlimited too. So £35 a month sounds really good to me, but again I don't keep up with these things.0 -

Depends.
1080p/3D/4K streaming which is not abnormal these days is going to get through a hefty amount of data.
Multiply that by 2 or 3 kids plus device updates, game downloads etc and it soon mounts up.0 -
Our family on virgin cable - 3 phones, 2 laptops, 1 major gamer, 1 video/Netflix addict, me on iPlayer on the TV = about 1000GB per quarter.
Haven't found anything that can match cable for speed and stability. You are paying a good price for that kind of usage so I'd stick with them.0 -
Look like my monthly usage is about 1200GB.
I'll stick with virgin and try to get a new router.0 -

Even by our family's standards - your usage is massive - I'd stick with Virgin, you are not going to get anything like that kind of value elsewhere.0 -

It does sound a lot but I did a clean install of Win 10 last weekend and then synced my Onedrive folder. The Onedrive folder alone was 62 Gb never mind the Win 10 download and various other bits of software that I downloaded and installed
Probably close to 70Gb in one day.0
