Wish they would offer me £27.My bills have been £36.99 for line rental ,broadband basic and original package now gone up to£50+ and retentions, live chat .complaints and all they are not budging ,So I am .leaving .No effort to keep me

I was paying about £27 for Original, line, ADSL and anytime calls, last year, but the best renewal phone offer was just free ADSL, so I cancelled tv and went to PlusNet for phone/ADSL. However, an offer of 75% off, plus £100 credit, brought me back for tv.

Plusnet is owned by BT and Sky uses BT network so there shouldn't be much difference.

Sky is LLU, which means a fee to pay if I want to return to Sky or any other LLU user.

At our address, Sky's ADSL speed was higher than PlusNet's is.

ADSL is provided by Sky's own kit in the exchange, with different characteristics and support (ADSL2+, etc) to BT Wholesale. FTTC comes from the BT Openreach cabinet, the same kit, the same copper, zero difference between providers.

But the difference between Plusnet and Sky will be network and peering level.
