In a few weeks time I have a few days without my kids. So I may drive to find him at that point. Could be a waste of time. But I think he's a bloody coward and after 6 months I deserve an explanation.
I wouldn't waste much time trying to find him, but it might be worth spending half an hour talking to his mum. Let her know that he borrowed a lot of money and vanished and that you're worried about him (even though you aren't).
Hopefully, when he gets in from work, she'll smack him up and down the place and send him over with your money.
Otherwise, you might get a bit of insight or find out something useful like if he's done it before or if there's anyone else that you should visit.0 -
Yes I agree. He's only an hour away. I guess if I go there expecting nothing, but hopeful, then maybe. I have sent his mum another message today. Maybe his family have no idea at all what he's done. I'd say one attempt to find him is justified x0

Hi MrsL2004. Did you go round and see him on the weekend? I'm hoping that you have good news to report."The problem with Internet quotes is that you can't always depend on their accuracy" - Abraham Lincoln, 18640

Hi. I have no news as yet. I did get a missed call from him on Friday. I messaged him saying 'please don't f*ck with me, if you want to talk call me back'. He replied saying he couldn't talk, but will call me later. 3 days later, not another word.
I haven't been over there, as I have my kids with me all the time. I may get the opportunity to go next week. But I'm not sure I want to.
The missed call etc has just proved to me that he's playing games. I hadn't attempted to contact him in a couple of days. So maybe his ego was bruised and he wanted to reel me back in. I'm back to 'no contact' again now. And waiting for the 14 days to be up, assuming he won't respond, I will then look into getting legal advice. I'm hoping as I'm a single mum getting tax credits, I might get help with costs anyway.
I will update if I have any news. I fear this will all take a long time. And I'm not sure confronting him would make a difference.
Thanks for asking!! Xx0
