Yet another company that only delivers to mainland UK, what about Northern Ireland? Isn't our money good enough. Makes me really cross when this happens.0

Well so much for the credit card diet. Just bought one myself, as at this price I couldn't resist.0

I second that Trisha!
And isn't the phrase 'mainland UK' ridiculous when Britain is itself just an island?0 -
Is the battery thats included the detachable type and does it come with a mains adaptor?
Can this mains adaptor run the unit direct?
Whats the carry case like - has it got straps so it can be used in the car?
Sorry for all the questions - all help gratefully received! :beer:0 -

Erm ......
My Geography is pretty rusty, but aren't the Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Hebridean Islands, Channel Islands, etc, etc, still all part of the UK? :eek:The MSE Dictionary

Redfox will better answer this, however, I'll post these.... This I believe will be the cover...
I assume the mains adaptor is included? and assume Redfox got the mains adaptor which I assume also runs the unit and chages the battery?
The only type of battery I can imagine their being is the detachable type.
Some of the extras you can buy I assume elsewhere (car adaptor, case for hanging in car) are pictured here...
This appears to be a close up of connectors...The MSE Dictionary

My son has now gone away for a couple of days on business and has taken the unit with him (typical! Field testing, he called it) so I'll try and answer your queries from memory but they might not be that accurate, sorry
The case certainly wasn't the car usage type, it was more of a slipcase. The battery is external and from what little I got to see of it (as he rather monopolised it last night - necessary familiarisation he said! ) it was removeable. Can't remember if there was a mains adaptor with it but I'd be surprised if there wasn't.
I believe you can buy accessories for it that include a car adaptor, extra batteries and a car type carry case but I haven't looked around for those yet. Sorry I can't be more help at the moment but when he returns I'll be able to let you know.0 -

My assumption that a mains adaptor/battery charger was included, was based on the fact that I could not see any other way that your son would have got it working? The MSE Dictionary

Basing my answers on the Nextbase SDV17A which I have owned for 4 months.
The battery is detachable, it screws into the DVD tablet.
The mains adaptor powers the DVD tablet directly, or through the battery. Or you can just recharge the battery on its own.
I got two cases, one a nerophene slip case and one for the car. If you dont get the car case, you can buy them for around £10.
Hope this helps.Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................
