7" portable DVD player, tablet style. Features:

I think these are rebadged Nextbase ones - it has played all region DVDs that I've tried on it. A bargain at £93.73 delivered as these tablet ones are usually a lot more than regular portable DVD players.

This is the re-badged Nextbase SDV17A Tablet. I bought one in January for £165

Excellent product at that price, even better at this!!

    Review can be found here

The review makes mention of no battery pack or car charger, which I got with purchase. Does the QED one come with car charger???

I looked at this player when QVC were selling it for over £250 (although I think that included an extra battery), and was pretty impressed. Last month I purchased a Panasonic LS50 for £160 or I would certainly be going for one of these at this price. It's also still for sale on eBuyer for £130 out of interest.

certainly mentions a battery and case in the description so looking more and more attractive. To think I nearly bought one for around £200 a few months back.

Did yours come from QED, have you or anyone taken delivery yet ?

Does the Scoot version play any region and does it have a cigar adapter ?

    So many questions

    Thanks Rinkrat

Hi rinkrat. Yes, it did come from QED. Not had much chance to play with it yet but my son quickly tried region 1, 2 and 3 DVDs on it and it's played them fine, can't see a car lighter adapter thingy with it though. HTH :)

Thanks, good to see the tablet style units are falling in price....

I'm wating for the ones with batteries, car adapter, mains, FM transmitter (to link to car stereo, radios at home without wires,) and Xvid etc.. may be next year!

The review of this unit speak highly of the screen. Good find!

I bought one of these when they were being cleared out by a local company as they were no longer stocking them.

It cost £120 and it was the best thing I have ever bought.

It came with the full car accessory kit, which is a seperate pack of battery, case, car cord and seat straps to hang on car headrest.

It is light and has never missed a beat in the car on long journeys and plays everything I have thrown at it Region 1,2,3,4,5,6, DVDR, DVDRW, JPG, MP3 and even my own back ups of films on DVD and VCD. Great for showing pictures from digital cameras etc. Even took it to Barbados, better than in flight movies.

So just to let you all know that this does what it says and very well. Looks like hell of a bargain.

I think I might even buy a second one at that price.

ps I do not work for Scott or Nextbase
    I am not always right,

But I am never wrong !!
