Lots going on fortune I think, as you say It's not like mr F is going to be rash with his car choice and hike the cost unnecessarily so it seems to make sense to make the change on yours now. If there is a shortfall you can cover it and if there isn't or it's smaller than you think it's a bonus :T
Wishing you and Mr F a happy and healthy (and 2 new cars) 2019

I think you may have more faith in Mr F than I have Purp :rotfl: He has agreed to be sensible if we buy the new car but may need some reminding of that later in the year.
A Happy New Year to you too xWishing you a 2019 filled with good fortune
Thank you Beanie and good fortune to you too x

Let's hope its a good one!
I am only a teeny, weeny bit hungoverI think it's mainly a sugar hangover :rotfl: I'm actually quite pleased that the festivities are over now and I can get back to some healthy eating.
Last night was a cosy, sedate affair and at the stroke of midnight we were busy reassuring FDawg that our neighbour's fireworks were not dog seeking missiles  He's not been worried about fireworks previously but these were very close and we had the window open. We fed him dog chocolate which is his absolute favourite treat to try to get him to associate fireworks with good things. I'm going to look for some Christmas dog chocolate in the sales so we can keep some for this eventuality.
We have no big plans for today. Mr F is going to carry on with car and fence maintenance. Lodger friend is coming over for lunch as it's her birthday today. We gave her a present and card last night.
Lunch will be some Sausage Casserole that we had leftover from Christmas Eve with a garlic mash bake. We still have leftovers that can be used for pudding although I'll be giving that a miss as I want to avoid added sugar from now on. Think I'll be giving my liver a break too :rotfl:
I've started off the New Year well with a £10.36 payout from TCBAlso sourced FDawg's supplementary food at a cheaper price and went through TCB.
I've done some thinking about goals for 2019 so will post those next.
Happy New Year all

HEALTH :j
- continue to attend yoga. I'm enjoying it and seeing some real improvement. The cost is per term
- increase walking time with FDawg. I'd like to take him further afield too. New places will help with his confidence and socialisation
- avoid added sugar. This is something I tried in November and had some great results
WEALTH :money:- run the Annex as a B&B. This is the big one for us this year and an opportunity to really bolster our income.
- replace my car and pay off any resulting debt
- grow more of our own fruit and veg. We did get some produce from the garden last year but we could do a lot more
- continue to maintain and furnish our home. We still have projects to complete, large and small, so it will be a matter of prioritising and budgeting for those.
HAPPINESS- have more nights/days out with girl friends. I used to go out regularly with the girls in Kent and I know enough chums to set up something here now. My New Year's resolution is to laugh more so this should help :rotfl:
- explore more of the local area with Mr F.
As you can see, not all of my goals are strictly financial but I find, for me, everything is interconnected and has an impact on money one way or another. I'll continue with my everyday MSE ways - menu planning, Tillytidying, researching the best deals, etc but with an even keener focus.
Here goes....
