  • I might be ready for Christmas :j Just waiting for my glittery nail varnish to dry and then I'm done and the festivities can begin. We have visits to make and guests to welcome from tomorrow. Can't wait.

Gate man came this morning to measure up and finalise the order. We should get his final quote in the next couple of days. We've asked him to measure up and quote for the other gates and fencing we need replacing just so we know what we need to save going forward.

This afternoon I cooked the curries we're going to have on Boxing Day. I was hoping I'd get the chance as it will be less time in the kitchen for me whilst our guests are here. I even managed a little washing and ironing too.

    So bring it on!

If I don't get the chance to post again beforehand, I hope you have a very, very, merry Christmas.

  • Glittery nail varnish always makes me smile. Must paint mine before christmas although mine will be black with silver glitter over the top so not too christmassy.

  • We're just back from a visit to York to see the boys. Had a lovely, lovely time. Our Secret Santa worked well - everyone got something they really wanted or needed and costs were kept down. We were well catered for but went out for dinner on Saturday night. Also picked up a couple of little souvenirs but budgets held :)

FDawg spent a night in the kennels but coped well. He was very excited when we picked him up and smelt wonderful as he'd had a bath. I think he is very pleased to be home - he didn't wake us in the night and we didn't get our usual wake up call either :)

When we got home we found some gifts on our doorstep from Farmer Giles - a bottle of red, a bottle of white, some cheese which is made from milk from his cows and a brace of pheasants  I didn't notice the pheasants at first because they were hung from a hook by the front door. It was only when I went out to change batteries in some christmas lights that I noticed them. I got quite a shock  Good job Mr F knows what to do with them :rotfl: What a generous gift.

The first of our guests arrived last night :) We have a few chores to get done this morning before our other guests arrive this afternoon/evening. I am cooking a meal this evening for us all but we are going out for lunch tomorrow so I get a day off :j

A very happy Christmas to you all. I hope 2019 is kind to you and you're successful in achieving everything you plan.
