Chiffchaff or Chiffchaffs? Whichever - there were two of the little critters in the fruit cage this morning  More tightening of security has occurred. It maybe that they are wee enough to get through the holes in the net

Today has been a proper day off. Took lodger and boyfriend out to lunch. We tried a new venue and it was a great success. Lodger insisted on paying for drinks so the bill was less than we expected :T Lodger's boyfriend also has a contact for replacement gates :T

Invited the neighbours round for drinks when we got home and had a little impromptu party. Lovely day.

Thank you all for you kind messages about the story sale. It should be published in a few weeks time so I'll let you know where to find it.

Hope everyone's had a fab weekend.

    Fortune x

We found little birds used to get in to the chicken run through the little holes in the chicken wire but then they used to fly back out when we walked in. They can get through surprisingly small gaps!!
