Halcyon Days Karma. Storms will come again but, in the meantime, I'm relishing every second.

It wasn't as relaxing a night out as we'd planned Downshifterella but it was a night out.PurpleFairy26 wrote: »Never a dull moment in the shire is there fortune :rotfl: plus getting your bushes out for the WI :o:o:o  what sort of meetings do you have in your neck of the woods :rotfl:
Oh dear Purp - that would make for an interesting meeting  I dread to think what they'd put on the Fac3b00k page :rotfl:

Thank you Money. I thought things were settling down here now but it seems they're speeding up again.

I had a lovely relaxing day on Sunday. Mr F pottered and I picked up my bRushes and started the WI painting :rotfl: So far, so good.
Decided to end the day with a nice, deep bubble bath... a little too deep. Some of the water went down the overflow which was when I realised that the overflow was not connected to anything  Fortunately there wasn't enough water to come through the ceiling below but it was a bit soggy under the bath. Mr F has fixed it now and we've left the side panel off so things can dry out a bit. There's something about us and baths. When we moved into our old house, the waste to the bath hadn't been sealed and water cascaded through the dining room ceiling the first time I took a dip.
Today I spent all morning trying to find reasonable house insurance. Having a lodger complicates things more than I imagined. I have been able to get cover but not for accidental damage. Which, I'm a bit worried about taking into account last night's little accident. I'm going to try some specialist insurers tomorrow. If anyone has any advice on this one I'd be very grateful.
On the up side, tenant friend's boyfriend recommended an electrician. He arrived this evening as promised and on time. Restored power to the barn quick as a flash and said he was happy to quote for all the other electrical work we need :T He thinks it will be 2-3 days work in total so shouldn't be too expensive :T Mr F is over the moon as he can now watch telly in his man shed :rotfl:
Mr F is off work this week. We didn't plan to take a holiday this year as there's so much work to be done on the house but decided we would spend a little on taking a break from the work. There is a big music festival nearby this week so we have booked one day ticket and one evening concert. We've amended our plans for the ground works and will use some of the money we'll save there to fund our outings.
The fruit cage I ordered has arrived - a little too late to save some of the raspberries from the birds but there might be about half left. We should get all of the redcurrants and blackcurrants though if we can get the cage up tomorrow morning.
In the afternoon we'll be taking FDawg to a local kennels for a look see. If we like the look of the place, he'll be having his first stay this week. Just for a few hours. I think he's ready. He's so much more confident now.
I was beginning to feel as though things were slowing down a bit but today I feel as though they're speeding up again. For every item we cross of the list it seems another ten are being added. That's what happens when Mr F has time off work - he gets to thinking. I really shouldn't let him do that :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hope everyone's had a good start to the week.
