Given that you're likely to still have the Great Annexe Clean Up still in your mind by Christmas, it sounds like a good idea all round that Uncle F isn't coming!
I love having sparkling water when out - it feels like a treat (because we don't buy bottled water or have a soda stream at home) and is super MSE!Will have to remember to ask for it in a wine glass in future!

You're probably right @themadvix 😆 Someone didn't make it to the Nice List this year 😆
I'd usually have had a glass of Prosecco but I've been avoiding alcohol since the flu jab made me feel poorly. That, along with a healthy eating plan and I'm feeling much better for it.

Colour
After all the talk on coloured walls over on @Cheery_Daff 's diary, I thought I'd post some pics of our new walls. This one is the living room. If it looks familiar that's because you've seen it before! We chose the same colour for our living room here as we did for our living room back in Kent and I posted a picture when we decorated back then 😆 You can't see it in the picture but the curtains have the same colour in their pattern.

Ooh, that's lovely Fortune! We had a similar colour in our attic room at the old house and I loved it. Goes really nicely with the curtains! What else are you going to show us?

Love the yellow Fortune and those curtains 😍 Agree with others that it's probably a good job Uncle F isn't coming for Christmas but sounds like you're making progress clearing up after him. I'm also another one who likes sparkling water when out - remember being in America and a waitress being confused that I only wanted "club soda" to drink so she tried to make it fancy for me with lots of brightly coloured straws and umbrellas 😆Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20174

Musical Chairs 🎶🎵🎶
We spent the whole of this morning playing musical chairs in the annex 😆 First Mr F and I brought down an arm chair from the bedroom and returned it to its home in the living room (it had been put up there to make room for a chair of Uncle F's). Then we took the little sofa from the living room and put it in the bedroom. After petitioning some help from Young Decorator, he and Mr F brought the larger leather sofa down from the landing in the house and put it in the annex living room. So now I have a clear area on the landing to set up my art nook 👏👏👏
That and clearing more areas for Young Decorator has used up the day. He is cracking on and has finished the hall today 😁 It's lighter in the hall so I can see the colour properly and I love it 😍 He's started on the landing now but that's going to take longer as the ceilings are very high and beamy.
We had leftover Coconut and Spinach Salmon Curry for lunch yesterday and I made Leek & Potato Soup for supper using leeks and potatos from the veg patch. It's the first time we've grown leeks and there wasn't much white to them as I didn't earth them up (or whatever you're supposed to do with them) but they were delicious 😁 I only used about 50ml of cream and skipped the milk as we like a thicker soup. There was plenty leftover for lunch today too.
I popped to the Post Office to send off some parcels (returned items and a Bay item) and, while I was there, I picked up an enormous pumpkin for carving and some halloween cupcakes as a treat for us all 😈 Also picked up some cash so I can pay Young Decorator for this week.
Having read a lot of talk about boilers on here, I thought we'd better bleed our radiators. I'm so glad we did! There was a lot of hot air in the system 😲 We had a radiator valve replaced earlier this year and I don't think we bled the radiators after the work was done. Anyhoo, the heating is working more effectively now and our en-suite is warm again 😁🛀
After all today's lifting and shifting, I'm shattered 🥱 I'm not planning much this evening except a bath and a catch up on Bak£ 0ff 🍰
Happy Hump Day all.

Sunny
And here's our sunny yellow kitchen. We inherited the brown tiles but I'm learning to like them - they give the kitchen an Arts & Crafts feel which is in keeping with the age of the house. The pattern is from the samples book the blind company left with me. It's favourite so far. What do you think?

Lovely blinds Fortune! Those tiles look blue to me though (am I looking at the wrong thing?) I always think yellow is a lovely sunshiney colour for a kitchen 😊4
