It is nice having some social events in the diary Ruby - although I'm glad I've got nothing in for this week, I need recovery time 🤭

Early Bird
Another week since I last posted! My plan is to post an update when I sit down for the evening but, by that stage, I'm too tired to even think about it. Maybe I should try posting first thing in the morning when I've got some energy for it. So here goes:
Wealth- I've just successfully bid on a washstand on the Bay which I'm going to use as a dressing table in our second guest room
- the grocery bill came in over budget this week as I included quite a few items for next weekend when the Younger Fortunates are visiting
- I've started cooking up and freezing the meal plan for that weekend so we can spend as much time together as possible. It's been months since we've seen them all together
- my weight is creeping up again. I've had some medication reduced and that isn't helping. More focus is needed on my health goals.
- we are going to a black tie event tomorrow and I can still get into the dress I bought. The weather is due to be dry and the event is being held in an open-sided marquee so I'm happy the virus risk is limited. Cases are falling in our area too which is very good news
- baked yeasted bread and tuiles for the first time ever and they worked 😁

I find posting first thing in the morning works better for me too - in fact doing most things first thing in the morning works better for me! Hope you enjoy the black tie event - we went to a wedding last week and it felt rather freeing to so something relatively normal for once (all within covid protocols of course).Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20173

Party Time 🎉
Aww thanks guys. I am excited about getting glammed up and having a dance 🕺
The makeup range arrived for my skincare business yesterday so I spent a very happy morning trying it all out and deciding on a look for this evening. I'm particularly impressed by the cream concealer (excellent coverage with no sinking into the creases) and the eyeshadow (velvety smooth, easy to blend and intense pigments). I'm still in love with the brand.
We had Balsamic Onion, Goat's Cheese & Rocket Tart for lunch with a side salad to use up some goat's cheese I'd realised was just out of date 😯 Supper was Gnocchi with Peas & Pancetta... only without the peas 😆... and with diced courgette 😆 Yup, those courgettes keep on coming 🥒🥒🥒
I spent a dull afternoon cleaning the bathroom but that did give me a chance to listen to more of my current audio book - Troubled Blood, Richard Galbraith. I love the series and can't wait for this book to be televised.
We went to pick up the washstand later which is beautiful and perfect for what I had in mind. The cost will be met from the home improvement budget.
Today I have a few chores to do but I intend to spend most of the afternoon painting my nails and watching a film 😁
Hope you have a great Saturday guys.
