Is there a direct link to the offer as I see from the original post it is available to all from today ? - I would be interested in seeing more about it ?
.
It contains personalised links, so it's probably not a good idea to post a URL to it.
More details can be found on the bPay website.
There's no doubt in my mind that Barclaycard will withdraw the service somewhere down the line, refunding punters what they paid for their bPay devices and stickers.
It's another one of those solutions looking for a problem to fix.0 -

Received my fob today. A SIM card is also included in the package. The fob itself is just a piece of plastic which you insert the SIM card into. Registering is a bit of a faff, but I figured since I'd ordered it, I might as well go through the motions. There is a number which comes with the SIM to be entered, various codes sent by text and, of course, all of your personal information. You can only choose one card to register with each device, it doesn't have to be a barclaycard.
You choose how much to preload it with, anything from a fiver to £200 (the max). I loaded mine with £40 and set it up to deposit £30 whenever the balance drops below £30, so the max I'll ever lose if I mislay it is £59.99.
And one more thing.....it works
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0 -

Sounds like it's basically a prepaid card which, presumably, you can top up using a credit card or debit card. Can you top up with other credit cards or only a Barclaycard?
I guess it's an attempt to tie punters in to the Barclays ecosystem.0
