It's because I like you to be happy pet, I don't like it when you're 'rattled' and if making you comfortable again entails looking at hair dye removers, you've got it! I've got the time to do the looking too and why not? x0

Fuddle - silver grey hair looks gorgeous with bits of purple in it. Go on, have a play, you know you want to.....and think how that would get the hags talking! One life - your life - live it!0

First of all thinking today of Hoglet and her family . I hope allis well in your little bit of NZ . x
Fuds I would be careful if you plan to strip the dye . If youngest was not in flat out mode after a long day yesterday she could offer advice as she is a trained stylist and colourist .
I had my hair dyed for a few years always semi permanent , my usual hairdresser was away and I stupidly agreed to let someone else in the salon do it . It seemed to take ages and I realised she'd used a permanent dye , that was the last time I had it dyed .
It can be a path you're forced to keep up with time wise and financially . I let mine all grow out and as I can't do the whole hairdresser thing health wise now it isn't something I miss .
My in house hairdresser has cut it until a couple of years ago but physically can no longer manage it so we are aiming to ask our brilliant original hairdresser who now does a few mobile jobs if she will come and cut .
It can be pretty empowering to be free of the dye bottle . DD has grown hers out over the past year and after decades of all the colours of the rainbow I now have my little redhead back .
We're lucky genes wise as all the family are either red of strawberry blonde . I still have a lot more blonde than grey and it isn't really obvious people think it's clever highlights .
Think of the time and money you can save and remember Those that mind don't matter and those that matter don't mind .
I was giggling at Lyn perusing the products on offer . We never know what we'll be googling next do we ? Is HWK feeling more himself now? One of the " joys " of grandchildren :rotfl:
Have a good day all . Warm and a bit sunny here .

Hi POLLY I think my poorly one is improving, he's managed two light meals today and is still comfortable tummied, vast improvement that I hope lasts. He's such a vigorous and robust man I hate to see him laid low by a 'germ'!
I learn many new things by chasing up things online, Fuds has taken me into a whole new world with hair dye strippers, so much of life hasn't come my way as of yet but it's an education when it does!
I'm off on the bus for the joys of a dental check in just a bit, lucky me, but it IS necessary maintenance and though I don't enjoy t I go because I must. Hopefully it will then be a quiet evening and an early night as, though I'm over the bug myself it's left me tired and without my usual energy levels, I run out of oomph quite quickly and have to sit down for a rest, not used to that !0 -
Germ. What a feeble word.
I'm leaving my hair. Heck it's either drenched with the rain or stuck to my head because I've perspired due to all the walking regalia. It's hat time soon anyway. I'll revisit the strawlike mess in the spring. I was looking on pinterest yesterday and found that 'root smudge' is in = people are paying money to get roots painted on their blonde. I cannat be doing with the mindfield of socially acceptable. Walk away Lyn, no more hair dye education for you. It's marketing at it's ugliest.
elona DH agrees with you and at least I tried to get a relationship going and maybe I'm just too sensitive in that I was now expected to pay. I mean she doesn't know me like you all do. She knows the girl of old as I haven't seen her for a good ten years. £55  for hair
My mood has much improved today but I'm afraid I have been to the docs today - woman's troubles. Give me strength! :rotfl:0 -
Root smudge? well , well, well, those who manufacture will extract your cash by one means or another won't they? actually probably not from us!
I'd rather not be socially acceptable, sounds a bit like growing up, absolutely no fun at all. Let's stay the rebellious alternative little oiks we've always been and continue to thumb our noses at those who play the 'establishment' game!
Glad you're feeling a bit more positive today Fuddley One, you're fine as you are, you'll be last woman standing in times of adversity whereas those who pay for root smudge and those who apply it on them and sell it to them will be running round like headless chickens in a pen with a fox!0 -
Glad you're feeling a bit better Fuds I'm sending the strength but use it wisely and don't waste it on those who don't deserve it .
I agree Lyn I don't wish to be trapped in the latest whatever trend . We're grown ups with our own minds , having overheard people hyperventilating over a broken nail as though the world has ended I'm happy to be me .

Broken nail? Just cut the rest down to match - they will all grow back at the same rate. Problem sorted! One life - your life - live it!0

That's always my reply re broken nails , it isn't exactly the end of the world

I can't run with nails of any length, I keep mine trimmed to 'non existent' with all the garden and cooking I can't deal with 'tallons' so the 'Oh my GOD.....I've broken a nail' passes me by and always has and always will!
Lovely dentist and assistant said as I walked into the consulting room yesterday 'Here is Mrs.LW who is slowly disappearing' when I'd stopped laughing they both said 'well done' so there must be a visible difference in my appearance since March when I last had my check up. I don't notice it so much now as I'm used to seeing me in the reflections, nice though when someone else does. Improved gum health, no fillings, no work of any kind needed and see you in 6 months, doesn't get better than that!0
